More licks than a lollipop, May 31, 2001

I bought this recording when I was a teenager in 1966 and played the grooves off of it. As an aspiring keyboard/organ player I learned more licks off this recording than any I could imagine. Preston's organ playing is soulful and steady, emotional and powerful. The man simply makes the Hammond B3 sing.
The music ranges from gospel to rock, and most everything in between. The guy just owns that organ when he's playing. In one song you can actually hear his sidemen urging him on, they get so excited.
This recording truly earns its title -- The Most Exciting Organ Ever.
