I Am What I Am, September 29, 2004
This review is from: Most Famous Hits (Audio CD)
I bought this collection because it was the only Gloria Gaynor greatest hits compilation to include the song "I Am What I Am". So for that reason, I recommend the CD, as strangely, you won't find the song elsewhere.
Aside from that, the rest of the CD includes the most famous hits by Gaynor (I Will Survive, Never Can Say Goodbye), plus a lot of covers, (Every Breath You Take, Power of Love).
Unlike most greatest hits CDs, this one includes absolutely no information about Gaynor, her career, or even the songs. There is no booklet whatsoever.
Gaynor is a great singer, but this is not a great CD, so as I said, buy it for "I Am What I Am", and look elsewhere for a better greatest hits collection.

I Will Survive., December 30, 2002
This review is from: Most Famous Hits (Audio CD)
Another 'Best Of' Compilation from the 'Disco Queen' this one covers many of her super hits plus a few other surprises. Perhaps the best collection in the market, including a generous number of songs. Her own rendition of "I will survive" still remains an evergreen dance-floor classic!

Almost Famous Hits, November 19, 2005
This review is from: Most Famous Hits (Audio CD)
I have found this collection to be very good. However there are quite a few hits missing. Where is " Touch Of Lightning " For some reason this song has yet to be released on CD.
I am getting tired of the same old songs being released over and over. I know that I could do a better job of picking out songs than whoever is working for Polygram Records and a few other Record companies.
