This double CD helps you relax. Period. It doesn't demand any more of you than to pop it in, sit (or lay) back and relax. You don't have to be a classical music expert of any sort to appreciate this, it isn't meant to be "listened" to. And I love it. I work at a rock/metal radio station and as much as I love that type of music, I own dozens of rock CDs, oftentimes it's the last thing I want to hear more of at home. Sometimes, complete silence is the best relaxation "technique" but in lieu of that, try "The Most Relaxing Piano Album in the World...Ever".

I simply love piano music. If you're looking to relax, enjoy a peaceful time, then you must check out this album. If you truly enjoy piano music, this album is by far one of the best you can purchase.

As it says....it is the "Most Relaxing Piano Album in the World...Ever..." Well, I haven't listened to all piano albums in the world, but I don't need to, this one is just perfect for me, and I think you will agree!

I would say the pianists' are extremely accomplished. At times, I would admit-it's a bit 'spine tingling'!

These CDs are so much more than I expected! There are the classics you hear on all piano compilations, but also some additions that I've never heard before but really enjoyed. I don't hear background noise on any of the tracks--just pure & simple piano with the ocassional accompaniment of a few other instruments. If you're looking for something to get you to relax or to play during dinner, this is it. As a pianist, I enjoy it even more for those times when I'm not able to play the songs myself!

I think it's very difficult to discover an entire CD (though I will admit I prefer disc 1) that reels through the emotions the piano can evoke. Don't worry, it's not all solo piano; there are orchestral accompaniments throughout, but this is one of the simplest, sweetest renditions of Clair de Lune I have heard. I had no problem with the correct labeling of the songs when I downloaded it to my computer, though. And I think this is a GREAT beginner's classical CD--that is, if you're not sure which composer you'd like to try something else from, you get a good variety. (No focusing on just baroque, thank you very much.) Happy Listening.

This album was a "try and see" purchase but I love it. It makes great dinner music, great music to drift off to sleep with, or just nice background filler during social events needing a softer tone. It is not all solo piano music if that s what you are after; the other instruments blend very well however and don't challenge the piano playing. It is a piano album after all!

This is a beautiful calming cd. The playing is excellent and the pieces are well chosen.

This is simply an exquisite collection of beautiful piano pieces. I am very satisfied with this purchase. I can read while listening to this music-call it background music...maybe, but even when you're doing something else-the music is there...it does not intrude, but it doesn't get lost either. I am having a hard time explaining this. I wanted music to relax and enjoy. I got just that with this collection. I think it's a bargain and highly recommend it!

I wasn't expecting much from this CD - perhaps a laundry list of battle-fatigued pieces played by minor league pianists on medium grade pianos. Instead, it is neat list of beautiful pieces played by top notch pianists on wonderfully tuned pianos. Yes, it is relaxing and the price is reasonable.

This double CD has everything it claims. Both CD's are full of THE most beautiful music played very well. There are no undesirable tracks. Please treat yourself to this experience. It really does make so many other of my CDs now superfluous!

If you're bothered by stress and insominia, (These days, who isn't?), this music will help. These selections are carefully arranged to follow each other effortlessly and to create a soothing, relaxing mood in the listener without being boring or too bland. Each note falls on the ear with a certain clarity that makes the listener aware of so many degrees of softness and nuance. One selection after the other offers escape from worries and the mundane events of everyday life. Negative thoughts dissolve and nerve endings untangle as gentle, persuasive rhythms redefine the moment. Very nice indeed.
