The late Mac Frimodig was a lifelong resident of the Copper Country and a good friend & neighbor of my own relatives in Laurium, Mich.; he knew his stuff.

He'll always be remembered as a great fan of the Upper Peninsula and enthusiastic promoter of U.P. culture & tourism.

Thus, they couldn't have picked a better man for this job, the result being a fascinating, folksy collage of articles about livin' "Up Nort," from making hot pasties to coping with cold winters.
