Why couldn't this be the US version?,

I really enjoy Hilary Duff's music, but I wonder why the international versions of her CDs are expanded and have more features than the US versions? She's American! I would've thought that she would have wanted the better versions to be released in the US. Disney does the same thing with their CDs and DVDs. Unfortunately, the imports are either way too expensive, or, if they're DVDs, they're unplayable in the US. Can you say, dumber than advertized?
I liked this version of her CD better than the one she released in the US. Too bad it was too expensive for me. Why should I pay $10-20 extra for the features that should've been on her US version. Plus, although this was a really good album, it was too early to release a "greatest hits" album. She'd only released 2 previous ones, not counting her contributions on the Lizzie McGuire CDs, Cinderella Story, and a couple other soundtracks. I have to give her credit, people bought the album. I bought the signature edition (which still didn't have the same features as the Japanese edition. Le sigh.). Pretty clever. |
