Book Description

In Mother Advice To Take With You To College: Humor, Inspiration and Wisdom To Go, Kathleen Buckstaff, award-winning author, former Los Angeles Times humor columnist, and mother of three children, shares wise and humorous illustrations and stories that are full of truth and love.

With over 65 illustrations, Kathleen uses line drawings to talk to her son about hygiene, how to love someone, being loyal, overcoming adversity, drinking, the importance of exercise, good friends, the beauty of nature and many other essential life subjects.

Told in an open and loving voice, Mother Advice To Take With You To College is a book that will make feel grateful Kathleen approaches topics many avoid. You will laugh out loud, cry and feel the power and wisdom of motherly love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lucky us! March 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Kathleen has always had a "magic voice" sought out by teens who respect her knowledge, honesty and perspective...and by parents of teens who wonder what on earth is going on with their kids. When Kathleen's son went to university last fall, she discovered she still had advice to share with him....so she began writing and sketching. The result was this e-book. If you know a college freshman (or the parents---or grandparents---of a college freshman), order it for them! This is a book full of love and charm.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED!!! April 7, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved this book! It hit home knowing that when my boys go to college, I'll want to make sure they know all these things.
We can't control what they do when they leave but hope they remember all they lessons they learned while at home.
The illustrations are beyond adorable.

I recommend this book for anyone with kids, going to college or not!
