Book Description

Warm and fuzzy, anchored in values, and filled with simple words of wisdom, this beloved, bestselling book for parents speak to the important business of raising daughters, and distill their timeless lessons into one nugget of wisdom per page—some lighthearted, some serious, some practical, and some intangible, and all supported by a strong moral backbone.

Freshly updated, the book begins with the Five Keys of Parenting, a guide to navigating the extraordinary, even if sometimes exasperating, journey of parenthood. It’s filled with helpful reassurance: Tickle her, play with her, give her piggyback rides. She’s not breakable. And accepting bittersweet reality: When it’s time—Let her go.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing...... April 29, 2005
Format:Paperback
The book is pure GENIUS. It makes you cry, laugh and learn at the same time. I think every mother of a daughter should be forced by law to have a copy. It's short enough that you will actually read it cover to cover, and its wisdom peirces though you as if you didn't have a choice but to grow. This is the "best book ever written on mothers and daughters." And it's short enough to read in one sitting. Amazing...

5.0 out of 5 stars HEAVEN SENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! November 26, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I see why Mothers stated this book brought tears to their eyes. As a Christian I always want to make sure I am being the Godly-LOVING Mother Christ has called me to be and books like this create an additional source to make sure that LOVE is in line. I made personal notes of things to do on the "Bonding Years" pages so once I master those pages over the next 12 years I will move on to the next stage of the book. This is amazing! I have been looking for something specifically for me as a Mother with my Daughter and here I found it. The book is AMAZING and not to mention adorable and fits right in my purse. Thank you so much for writing and producing this book it is God Sent!

5.0 out of 5 stars Priceless December 14, 2011
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I had a hilarious, and teary time reading this with my mom. It led to fun memories of our years together and stories of her time with her mom and dreams of what raising my young daughters is and will be like. It's short enough to read in just an hour or two, but totally worth keeping forever and re-reading any time. I buy it for every new mom of a girl I know.

Gave it to my sister, and she and Mom enjoyed sharing it during Mom's final weeks of life. It gave them something to help remember and laugh with.
Both thanked me for thinking of it.
