5.0 out of 5 stars One Of the Best One Last Wish Books, November 14, 1999

I thought the book was really well written. I could totallyidentify with the lead characters feelings. I told my best friend toread it, and we talked a lot about the book. My best friend is adopted, and she said that she sometimes had the same feelings as Sarah. Thank you Mrs. McDaniel, my friend now can talk more openly about her emotions. Keep up the good work.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mother, Help Me Live (One Last Wish) (Paperback)
I really, really liked this book because Lurlene McDaniel wrote it and she is my favorite author!
Sarah has leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant or there is no hope. Sarah later finds out she was adopted. Sarah tries to find her birth mother. She locates her and travels to meet her. Sarah hopes her birth mother can donate bone marrow for her. Sadly, Sarah finds out that her birth mother had breast cancer and can't donate bone marrow and her real father was killed.
I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in both leukemia and adoption!!

This a good book, about a girl needing help for a bone marrow transplant but her parents cant give them to her because she was adopted. This story tells you how much a girl and her adopted mother would find to save the girls life. You will defenetly love this book when you read it.
