One Of the Best One Last Wish Books,
By A Customer
This review is from: Mother, Help Me Live (One Last Wish) (Paperback)
I thought the book was really well written. I could totallyidentify with the lead characters feelings. I told my best friend toread it, and we talked a lot about the book. My best friend is adopted, and she said that she sometimes had the same feelings as Sarah. Thank you Mrs. McDaniel, my friend now can talk more openly about her emotions. Keep up the good work.

I really, really liked this book because Lurlene McDaniel wrote it and she is my favorite author!
Sarah has leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant or there is no hope. Sarah later finds out she was adopted. Sarah tries to find her birth mother. She locates her and travels to meet her. Sarah hopes her birth mother can donate bone marrow for her. Sadly, Sarah finds out that her birth mother had breast cancer and can't donate bone marrow and her real father was killed. I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in both leukemia and adoption!!

Mother, Help me Live,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mother, Help Me Live (One Last Wish) (Paperback)
Sarah Mcgreggor is a girl with leukemia. Sarah goes to the hospital and she finds out that she needs a bone marrow transplant. This transplant could be some bone marrow from her mom, dad, sister, or brother. Then her mom and dad said to her to go up to her hospital room and wait for them. Sarah's parents came up to her room and tell her that she can't have the transplant because her parents aren't really her parents. She was actually adopted and Sarah got a little mad though. Sarah then goes to California where her real mother was there. Sarah then meets her mom and asks her to dontate her bone marrow to her so she can live. Her mom had let her down saying go hom thouh. The next day Srah's real mom came to her hotel and told her about her hertiage. Sarah's dad had died in a plane crash and her real mom had breast cancer so she couldn't give her bone marrow because she didn't have any good marrow. Sarah ends up in the hospital when she came back to her home town. Sarah doesn't know if she is going to live. Do you think she will live? That is a thing to learn in the next book though.

An Emotional Thriller,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mother, Help Me Live (One Last Wish) (Paperback)
This book is filled with saddness and suspense. One Sara find out that her cancer is back and that see is adopted the story flips. This book shows how to care for others and made me realize that I'm lucky to live were I am now. The one thing good about this book is how the author reaches out to the reader. You're able to feel Sara's sorrow, and be in her spot. One Last Wish, Mother Help me Live is a great book showing love, happiness, saddness, and concern for others.

Mother, Help Me Live,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Mother, Help Me Live (Turtleback School & Library Binding Edition) (One Last Wish) (Hardcover)
Title: Mother, Help me LiveBy: Lurlene McDaniel Review by: J. Ku Period: P.1 In Mother, Help me live, Sarah McGreggor, at the age of 10, finds out that she is diagnosed with leukemia. She endured treatments for three year, but her leukemia still responed. Dr. Gill thought a bone marrow transplant would be the best cure for Sarah's leukemia. Dr. Gill said the bone marrow should come from her brother or sister. Right away, Sarah's parents knew that her brother and sister's bone marrow wouldn't work, but Sarah didn't understand why. Later, she learned that she was adopted when she was three days old. She wanted to find her birth mother to ask if she could donate some of her bone marrow. Sarah woke up one night and found a letter from OLW foundation. She opened it up and read the letter. In addition to the letter was a check for one-hundred-thousand dollars. Once she found her birth mother, she went to go see her. Janelle didn't want to have anything to do with Sarah so she shut them out. Before Sarah was about to go home, Janelle came and said that she would never be a suitable candidate for donating bone marrow no matter if it matched or not. Janelle had breast cancer and she went under chemo and radiation. The doctor told Janelle that the disease had a tendency to run in the family. Dear Sarah, You don't know me, but I know about you, and because I do, I want to give you a special gift. Accompanying htis letter is a certified check, my gift to you with no strings attached to spen on anything you want. No one knows about this gift except you, and you are free to tell anyone you want. Who I am isn't really important, only that you and I have much in common. Through no fault of our won, we have endured pain and isolation and have spent many days in a hospital felling lonely and scared. I hope for a miracle, but most of all, I hoped for someone to truly understand what I was going through. I cant make you live longer. I can't stop you from hurting, but I can give you one wish, as someonedid for me. My wish helped me find purpose, faith, and courage. Friendship reaches beyond time, and the true miracle is in giving, not receiving. Use my gift to fulfill your wish. Your Forever Friend,

Rennee's Mother Help Me Live review,

This review is from: Mother, Help Me Live (One Last Wish) (Paperback)
It was a really good book that I highly enjoyed. Mother Help Me Live gets two meanings throughout the book. I would recommend reading it during the day because it's a very emotional book. The main character is 15 and has lukemia currently after being in remission for 2 years. She needs a bone marrow transplant and that's when she finds out she's adopted. Don't read the following if you don't want to know whether you'll be really happy or sad. Either way you'll bawl so... Okay, just thought it was a really great book and wanted to write about it.Sarah doesn't die.

I thourghly enjoyed "Mother help me live". It was one of Mcdaniels better books. It is different, but it is suprisingly better than her romance novels. Mcdaniel does a good job of presenting the story and showing the importance of family. Sarah is a lovable charcter who can relate in one way or another to most teenage girls. Adoption is the main focus of the book. I would reccomend this book to all tennage girls and Lurlene Mcdaniel fans.

I started this book with great expectations, since I'm a fan of Mrs. McDaniel's books. Unfortunately, this one wasn't up to her usual caliber. Sure,it was touching and suspenseful. I liked that the lead female stayed single, and I could identify with her feelings. But she was too harsh towards her family when she found out she was adopted, and they were the ones who loved her. At least she realized how much they meant to her. Her biological mother's reaction to her at their 1st meeting was even more outrageous. Luckily, that was resolved, too. If the ending hadn't left readers hanging, this book would've been much better. Please,Mrs.McDaniel, write a sequel so we can find out what happens to Sarah!

This book was a great book it shows us how lucky we are and what it would be like if we were in Sarah's shoes. It talks about her struggles with her relapse of lukimia and what she uses the 100,000 dollars from the OLW foundation for. It truly is a great book and everyone should read it.
