5.0 out of 5 stars I recommend this to friends
I really like this book. It has a lot of basic ingredients so you don't have to go buy a ton of new things. It is all whole nuts and seeds which I LOVE. It is so much healthier then refined flours. It is very straight forward and easy to follow. You do need a food processor and possibly a food dehydrator. But the recipes are yummy and super easy to make. It is a great...

again, I did not realize the flour mixtures were all nut based. I can't tolerate nuts, at least I think I can't, waiting to get some food allergy tests done. Otherwise, looks like a great book!

a very good reference for parents of children with gluten and casein intolerance/sensitivity. Must have in a nutritional and/or medical office.

4.0 out of 5 stars Happily Eating Normal Again, October 4, 2009

This book was an encouragement to me because the receipes were of favorite foods and desserts that I thought I could not eat anymore. It is a Cook Book Primarily, and not just for children, but with Adults in mind. The fact that I could eat some of my favorite and familiar items including desserts and still be on this diet was a great encouragement to me. The book also explains about the diet and why you need it. I recommend this book to anyone! Mary Beth

I am not the best cook. When my son had to go on the gf/cf diet, I was lost. Well this book is great! I also love that the recipes are healthy. I don't feel guilty about what I'm feeding him! I also learned a lot!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very time consuming recipes, June 2, 2011

I actually returned this cookbook. All the recipes were made with too many different ingredients that I had never heard of and were way too time consuming to make. When you are taking care of special needs children and baking/cooking for special diets you don't have hours to spend on one recipe....you need to make several recipes in those hours. Not a good choice for our family.
