Product Description
Mother-in-Law, Son-in-Law is the sexually explicit tale of lonely people trying to find happiness by daring to follow their hearts. Some people shout about finding the wild place, whilst others are quietly swimming in it... Kate married far too young. Now husband Alex, once the love her life, bores her to tears. He's so busy gardening and watching repeats of Top Gear on the tele, he would never guess about Kate's secret life with her lover Colin. But gardening and Top Gear can keep a man happy for only so long. Especially with a Mother-in-Law as voluptuous and gorgeous as Julia.

Love the book! I really enjoyed it and read it cover to cover very quickly. As soon as I started it, I didn't put it down until I'd finished it. Anything published by the author is almost always awful. Thank God this was the exception!
It is notoriously difficult to write about sex well. I don't think there are any other genres within a genre that get awards for bad writing apart from descriptions of sex in books.
I'm amazed that this is a first effort because it is very confidently written. I particularly liked the fact that Calvert-Toulmin didn't succumb to the temptation of punishing the Kate character for being such a brat; the resolving of her situation was both mature and realistic.
An excellent first novel in a genre that is daunting for a first-time author.
Another thing I absolutely adore is the frontispiece ex libris design - it's great! I wish other books did that.
I'm looking forward to reading My Adventures in Cyberspace now.

A kitsch masterpiece.

One of those books that gets you looking at the receding thickness with disappointment!

Forget Anais Nin - read Jude Calvert-Toulmin!
In addition to writing about sex in a way that makes you want sex, and to read the story over again, this book has got what most other erotic stories lack: a good story and a good storyteller.
Yes, the book is full of sex. Good sex. Delicious sex, even.
You want to read an erotic story? Read this.

You know those bad sex awards for writers? Well Jude Calvert-Toulmin won't be getting one any time soon. Sex scenes are notoriously difficult to write, but the ones in this novel are detailed, heartfelt and believable. It was a fast read and hard to put down even for someone who doesn't normally read this kind of novel. If you do read this kind of book you will love it.

What I loved most about MILSIL - apart from a plot with which I could identify (how relationships can become stale over time) - was how believable the characters were.
The book is lots of fun, and like other reviewers have said, I'd like to see it made into a film. A highly believable story, real-life characters, and the sex scenes were very realistic, especially the phone sex chapter which reminded me of my own experiences years ago...

Really well written and will drive you nuts for sex. If you haven't read a provocative book then you'll be in for a real treat.

When's the film out? Great fun and would make an excellent holiday book - although read it in trunks on the beach at your peril gentlemen! Ahem...

Fabulous, funny, horny and witty. If ever a book was written to get onto the big screen this is it. It is hot, spicy and erotic and fills a void in contemporary publishing...the literary version of viagra.
misha -Yorkshire
The characters in it are real and credible, and having dated a Yorkshire man in the past I was warmed by Matt with his conversation in phonetic format.
My husband, it has to be said was happy with my purchase also, as I dragged him to bed after reading sections on more than one occasion!!
