Rest easy: The amount of alcohol in an adult dose of Motherlove Goat's Rue tincture is less than that found in a ripe banana. And by putting your drops in a small amount of hot water dissipates much of the alcohol- you'll taste no alcohol bite, just the flavor of the herbs. Suggested Use: Take 1/4 tsp (1ml) 4 times per day. Women over 175 lbs take 1/2 tsp (2 ml) 3 times per day. Dosage may be taken in 1-2 oz of water. My lact consultant recommended this. No one carries it locally. I use this the day before I go to work [part time] up to the weekend. There is a marked increase in what I can pump when I use Goat's Rue.

I have only used this for a few days. I have not noticed increased milk production yet, hopefully that will come. However the drops are the most vile thing I have tasted to my memory. This is probably more effective than pills, but you might actually take the pills.

I couldn't tell any difference in my milk supply after using this. I had better luck with fenugreek. I think every woman just has to figure out which product works for her body. I did like the easy to use liquid ( I hate swallowing pills ), and this product was shipped with a nice colorful catalogue of products for a nursing mother. Great company and lots to offer. They threw in a free sample of nipple ointment.
