1.0 out of 5 stars A Retread of Every Other Book She's Ever Written
Basically, if you've ever read a Kelsey Roberts book, you don't need to bother with this one. I'm not allowed to say why. It's just another variation on a formula, as Roberts delivers two people for whom arguing means true love. Uh-huh. In a lot of ways, it doesn't even seem like their story, since the supporting cast takes up so much of the time. Throw in an...

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Wonderful Story, February 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Her Mother's Arms (The Rose Tattoo, Book 8) (Harlequin Intrigue Series #455) (Mass Market Paperback)
Kelsey Roberts is one of my all-time favorite authors, and HER MOTHER'S ARMS is one of her best. The hero and heroine are so real they practically walk off the pages. This book is a must read.

The opening got me hooked and the story was fun and scary all at once. This is another great Rose Tattoo book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping Openining, July 24, 2000
This review is from: Her Mother's Arms (The Rose Tattoo, Book 8) (Harlequin Intrigue Series #455) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book had me hooked from the very start! This is a great read! The characters are wonderfully written and the plot kept me guessing. The sexual tension sizzles and Ms. Roberts manages to carry that emotion through the entire book. I wish every author wrote with her ability!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Fabulous Rose Tattoo, December 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Her Mother's Arms (The Rose Tattoo, Book 8) (Harlequin Intrigue Series #455) (Mass Market Paperback)
No one does sexual tension like Kelsey Roberts. Hannah and Ian almost sizzle off the pages. Ms. Roberts always has unique twists and turns in her plots that keep the pacing fast and fun. A must read even if you've never read any of the other Rose Tattoos!

Throw in an underdeveloped plot, an easy-to-solve mystery and a confusing climax, and I have a hard time understanding why this book is so popular. In the end, Roberts seems to have realized she hit her word limit and could stop, so she didn't bother to make things too clear. Her first book, "Legal Tender" was excellent, and I thought she would become one of my favorite writers, but ever since, she's gotten complacent. The characters have some good repartee, but I really didn't buy this book just for a few good lines.
