About the Author
Antonella Valeri lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband Tony, and two adopted children, Johnny 6 and Liliana 3. With her adopted son, Johnny, as her inspiration, Antonella wanted to write a book that introduced the concept of "adoption" in simple terms. She believes this book will inspire other adoptive families to celebrate their "special" experiences based on their own personal adoption stories.

"My real mom"? Really?,

Too didactic to be enjoyable. But as long as that's the tone, why oh why would the main character in the book, the "adopted child" say, "My real mother couldn't take care of me". We're all real. There are no imaginary parents in these equations.
