A beautiful story,

"My Mother's Dress" is the second in Laurie Elmquist's series of back-to-the-land stories (following "My Father's Parrot." It's a beautiful story about a woman (and her children) learning to cope with moving from the city to the country at her husband's whim. Elmquist builds a wonderful tension in this moving story about an idealistic family with high hopes for a better life.
