I was a very insecure mother until I discovered a good prayer strategy for my daughter. This book helped me gain confidence as a new mom. Something about really committing my child to the Lord and having some help on how to pray for her protection and future allowed me to relax in mothering. I was able to move from praying only in crisis situations and praying general "bless her" prayers to deeper scripturally based prayers that I knew I could ask for and count on in faith. I am deeply grateful to Quin Sherrer for her wisdom in this book. Learning how to pray for my little one has completely changed my daughter's demeanor and our relationship for the better. God hears us when we call out to Him!
I also appreciate her writing style- she's direct, clear, and to the point. And she fills it with real-life stories to illustrate. That was encouraging too. As a struggling, busy mama, I didn't have time to sort through a writer's fluff, but this book made it a quick read and easy to access. Thank you!
Someone once asked me what my best resource for parenting was... without hesitation, I said watching some of my friends who parent well and "Praying for your Children" by Quin Sherrer. Without a doubt! I started giving this book to every new mom as part of a baby gift. This book will encourage you as a parent at any stage of parenting- unborn kids to adult kids. You'll just wish you found it sooner!!!
