The product in and of itself is good if it's what you're looking for. Unfortunately for me, that was not the case. I think a part of the problem lies in the product description, particularly the part about it being scrapbook like.

I was looking for something like a grandmother's journal that I had seen that included some interesting elements like a family tree, spots for pictures of all sorts and lots of questions with space to fill in about family history, the mother's story and her beliefs and memories. This book is a journal insomuch as it's empty pages with lines on them. And that's it. Technically, there are spots for pictures, as described, just as much as there would be in any other blank book.

I got it in time for Mother's Day, as I had hoped, but was really disappointed that I didn't get what I was expecting. This review is to clarify what this product really offers for any other potential buyers. If you're looking for something more than blank pages, keep looking.

I really have liked journaling about my new daughter in this little book. It's an adorable design, perfect for keeping sweet memories for my daughter to read on her own one day and to keep. I would buy this in a heartbeat for a new mom. I also like how it's open ended, just lines to write as much as you want to write on each page.

This journal is exactly what i was looking for. I didnt want a traditional baby book-just a place where i could record the information, stories, etc. on my kids that i thought was important. Sometimes i use it to record milestones, to write down funny memories, or to write a letter to them for when theyre older. Because it doesnt have writing prompts, it isnt limiting to what you can do with it. I also like that every few pages there are pages for putting photos. There are also lots of nice quotes and sayings about motherhood, but it isnt too cutesy. More sentimental. The basic set up of the book is about 4-6 blank lined journal pages (with pretty illustrations), followed by 2 blank unlined spots for photos. For someone who wants more freedom in their baby book, it is perfect.

I have one of these for each kid. I love documenting big events and special things we do. Photo albums are great, but this is a way you can really communicate how you feel about your child. I can't wait til the kids are grown so they can read about how much i love them and cherish our time together.

I document birth info, weight/measurements, holidays, bdays, vacations and 'firsts' in this book.

I bought this for my daughter in law and I was very pleased with the quality.
