5.0 out of 5 stars Tsinajinnie's voice is WONDERFUL!, January 24, 2004

This review is from: Mother's Word (Audio CD)
This young artist has a beautiful and strong soul that tugs at every emotion I have. Her soulful rifts lure me into her world. So much so, that I have traveled to the beautiful land she represents.

Not only is she a singer; Tsinajinnie is also a scientist, a biologist. The intelligence she brings to American Indian art is very unique and is ahead of her time.

First heard her on "Enter>>Tribal" which a contemporary album. Then I bought her solo album "Mother's Word." Hard to believe she does both since the projects are as opposite as NIGHT and DAY.

This is a must have for listener's who appreciates dynamic singers. Recommendation...VERY highly!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mother's Word -- Delphine Tsinajinnie, March 19, 2002

Tsinajinnie has a captivating voice that takes me back to my visits to Monument Valley, AZ! She has such an
emotionally charged delivery that sets her on an classically trained plane of vocalists. She is such a fresh modern Native voice. The precision in her pitches is what distinguishes her from other Native artists. I saw her in a movie called "The LostChild." In addition to acting she also sings in the movie. I have worn out my copy of the video by replaying her singing segment.

"Mother's Word" is a must for music lovers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tsinajinnie is a human flute!, July 15, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Mother's Word (Audio CD)
I have listened to music from around the world most of my life...my neighbor was an art historian. The first time I heard Delphine Tsinajinnie's album was at a friend's dinner party. I stopped in my train of thought...excused myself from a conversation and just listened to her. I bought her album the very next day! She is so refreshly different from the brash native music meant for dancing...''Mother's Word'' is definitely a must for the seasoned music lover. If prominent flautist R. Carlos Nakai's flutes had vocal chords they would sing like Tsinajinnie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dine, September 12, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Mother's Word (Audio CD)
I first heard Delphine sing at the Miss Indian World talent contest (not a contestant). Her voice is strong like Nellie Two Bulls and pure like Rita Coolidge.

It is wonderful to hear such a voice singing in the traditional styles. It is an inspiration to other young singers.

I look forward to many more recordings by her!
