Review
"This is a creative and well-organized presentation, particularly parts one and two. Sachs is an enthusiastic and engaging presence. She uses lots of active imager, some of it surprisingly offbeat, to intensify her movements, through which she guides us, in turn, to explore subtler emotional issues. If you enjoy moving dynamically with self-awareness and joy, this is a tape for you. --

Product Description
Fitness Professional Laura Sachs has created the E-Motion(r) Mind/Body Fitness program, a three-part video that includes: a mind/body warm up, a low impact movement style aerobic workout and a hatha yoga/relaxation segment. Cooking Light, in the July/August 1999 article entitled "Faux Fitness", describes this workout: "Or, for exercisers who want it all, there's E-Motion: t'ai chi, hatha yoga, meditation, and aerobics, with a little Pilates thrown in." The beauty of this video is that it invites the participants into all of the components of a mind/body class: introspection, breath awareness, proprioception, energy awareness and body alignment. E-Motion(r) presents 3 distinct workout sessions. These may be done separately on different days or, for the advanced exercisers, combined into a comprehensive 80-minute program.
1. Sensory Awareness Warm-Up 24 min. Center, energize, focus and prepare yourself for movement by increasing your sensory awareness. 2. Low Impact Workout 30 min. You don't have to be a dancer to enjoy the earthy, dance-like experience of this section, designed for a range of fitness levels. 3. Hatha Yoga/Relaxation 26 min. Gain flexibility and take the journey within as you relax your body and mind.
