....when you cross Neil Diamond and Iggy Pop?,
By
This review is from: Music From The Motion Picture Wonderland (Audio CD)
This 5-star soundtrack defines a time long gone in years but close in hearts. Whether to laugh or cry, this album must be companion. There are a few played-to-radio death classic rock signatures: The Cars, "Good Times Roll"; Billy Joel, "Big Shot"; and Bad Company's "Shooting Star." In the Wonderland of 1981, these songs were a tad more fitting and fresh. Speaking of fresh, how about Iggy and the Stooges' classic "Search and Destroy"; Patti Smith's eery "Gloria, In Excelsis Deo"; and "Love on the Rocks" by Neil Diamond and Gilbert Becaud. These oldies are cheekier than anything Eminem or his contemporaries could ever muster. This album shows sketches of punk's earlyu days and timeless feel-good songs. Dobie Gray's "Drift Away" and Terry Reid's "Faith to Arise" being corner ropes in the feel-good arena. Gordon Lightfoot's "If you Could Read My Mind" ends the movie and the soundtrack. This lyrical masterpiece blends the sweetness and sadness of the movie and the man. May the music live forever, may John Holmes rest in peace.

Sex, Drugs and GOD DAMN GOOD MUSIC !,
By
This review is from: Music From The Motion Picture Wonderland (Audio CD)
This album is truly the bomb! Let's face it, the movie is a masterpiece on it's own. The first title is the "20th century boy" by T-rex which is an amazing song to start having an hour of music that put yiu back right in the summer of love. Then there is "Shooting Star" by Bad Company which is the opening song of the movie. I just have to say : It's AWESOME ! Then we have "Faith to arise" by Terry Reid and "Stranglehold" by Ted Nugent. What can you expect more? I would say just one song would have made this cd the best of it's kind. Unfortunatelly Robert Palmer's "Spanish moon" is not available on this cd which is one of those songs that every one has to listen to. Other than that, this album is an AWESOME choice to buy especially if you are still in the mood of summer of love ! JUST GET IT !

I looked everywhere for this Cd and online was sold out everywhere. I looked for months. Then I found an article about it being rare and not very popular. We owned it years ago after the movie came out (based on the true story about the Hollywood Murders decades ago)... anyway it's a good cd worth spending 6.95 for! Lots of music we can appreciate, especially if you've seen the movie.
