This album features fine ensemble playing from the horn section, including Bob Mintzer, Michael and Randy Brecker (who also solo), while Erskine, Will Lee, Jim Beard and others drive the band nicely. The trademark funk is there, and also some beautifully crafted slower pieces, such as Not a Word, and Joe Zawinul's Dream Clock. These are top players - in top form.
