This is a solid solution. It worked directly with my 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300A. Made it pretty easy. Price was as good as anywhere on the web - cheaper with the shipping costs factored in.

Only concerns are: 1) that as it uses liquid in tubes, you kind of need to store it hanging up - not stashed ina tool box; 2) You also must calibrate the sync tool before each use by connecting the hoses to a provided manifold, and a vacuum source (one of the throttle bodies) and then using the adjustment screws to get all the tubes showing the same level under vacuum. That said, it makes the job easy and only took me a few minutes once I had access to my throttle bodies - hoses slipped right on. More accurate than dealing with unsteady needles on vacuum gauges.

I've had my vstar 1100 for a couple of years now and kept postponing sinking the carbs. Finally noticed it not running well and gas mileage dropping. Broke down and got it, it was amazing simple to use. My carbs were out of sinc big time. Cylinder 1 had showed 50 % reading and cylinder 2 showed 0%. Needless to say the bike's engine started purring again when adjusting back into sync. I've tried other methods before, like using a hose, but it was a big mess and not successfull. This is so simple and the readings are very stable. Well like I said, real easy. Hardess part was finding a 7mm wrench for adjusting. Well worth the money. Make sure you get a complete kit with fluid, hoses, adapters, and restrictors.
