2011 album from the acclaimed R&B/Jazz vocalist. As featured vocalist of the UK supergroup Incognito, core member of Stevie Wonder's Wonderlove and of course through her own albums and concerts, Maysa has been thrilling R&B and Jazz audiences for decades. Motions Of Love represents the pinnacle of Maysa brilliant recording career. Some of the many highlights include: Stevie Wonder, one of Maysa's most dedicated fans, coming to the party as producer of exquisite ballad he and Maysa have written especially for this album Sweet Dreams and R&B heartthrob Dwele's soulful guest vocal on the hit single "Flower Girl". An exciting video of this song features Dwele as well.

I really love this CD ! Maysa has one of the most unique and incredible voices out there today, and this CD really highlights just how talented this true singer and vocalist is. Favorites of mine include "Flower Girl" , " Day N Night", "Motions of Love", "When It's Over", "I Try", and " Your Name's not on the List". This New School generation seem to think that the term "Real" Music is basically R&B music that isn't "Rap" related which is further from truth.
Sad to think that today's artists like Beyonce, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, & Etc. is the epitome the radio industry provides as "Real" Music but yet neglecting artists like Lalah Hathaway, Will Downing, Ledisi, Kem and Maysa.
Maysa Leak simply known as "Maysa" has released her 9th studio project entitled "Motions Of Love" and is virtually unknown in the Texas Panhandle but she's the former lead singer of the British Nu jazz group "Incognito"
This powerhouse vocalist from Baltimore, Md has a lil combination of Lalah Hathaway & Sade with a smooth blend of R&B & Smooth Jazz.
My outtake on "Real" Music is simply music that has range, dynamics, orchestration and musical dexterity and with "Motions Of Love" you will hear all of that.
My favorite cuts are "Come Dance With Me", "Flower Girl" f/ Dwele, "You Won't Find Your Way", "When It's Over"/(Reprise)" & The remake cover of Angela Bofill's "I Try"
I also like "Motions Of Love", "Love Sweet Love (LSL)", "Hold On" & "Special Place"
So if you like "Real" Music or shall I say "Real" Grown folks music then don't sleep on this project.

I was first introduced to the sound of Maysa by my ex-husband, way back when she sang with Incognito. Since than I have had the pleasure of listening to her live in concert at Morgan's Fine arts center, and have purchased many of her Cd's from Amazon. This CD is an extension of her talent. I loved it and suggest that you buy it. I will not single out a particular song because all of them are just that wonderful. If you haven't been a Maysa fan before, I'm betting that after listening to this Cd "Motions of love", you will become a true fan, as am I.
