This is a hard book to review for me.

If you are researching in the area of language education, and investigating motivation in language learning I can see how this is a necessity. This book, I feel, should have been the start to a series on the same topic. If it was and I missed this please forgive me, but I didn't see any more here in Amazon.

I also think the book is important as there are not so many available on this important topic in language teaching, it gets a lot of extra credit in my books for this point. It is a book captures a lot of action research.

I don't find myself revisiting this book a lot. It has sat for some time on my shelf and I just decided to take it down for this review. So, I do see value in this publication - but perhaps there is scope to conduct research that works on more global aspects of motivation. I would like to read more on this. I would like wider sprawling research on what is covered here - but then which researcher would not like to see this in their field.
