I used this in my teacher ed course at college two years ago
This book makes loads of sense to me. I was taking a teacher education course in my last year of college and I confess I was kinda lost in terms of motivation for kids. This books seems to be very very helpful. I got a lot out of it. When I start teaching (which should be in a year) I think I will definitely try to use many of the ideas.

Price???
This handbook is 130 pages and costs almost $40? It is a requirement for an online continuing ed class I am taking. I have not even opened it but we're not starting off on a good note!

Having seen many of Dr. McCarty's motivational presentations, I would say this book is right on target. Many teachers that I have personally spoken with have told me about how much this book has helped in the classroom. His passion for teaching teachers how to draw students in is absolutely amazing and refreshing.
