I don't often write reviews, good or bad, but my wife bought me, "Motivation to Move" and for the last 3 months, I've religiously gone to the gym. It's strange to think that something so easy is so effective.

I got this for both myself and my spouse. While I found it somewhat helpful my spouse said the voice was not soothing enough to work on them. My spouse has been under before so it maybe that I had no expectations or past experience to draw from. I found that I did sleep better and while I usually don't have a problem exercising anyway, I would say it helped to listen to...

I have been listening to this CD on and off for months, and now I don't miss a work out. Working out for me used to be a chore that I dreaded, so because of that I could never be consistent. I would go for months and not hit the gym, feeling guilty and putting off starting again. Since I have been listening to this CD, I not only get to the gym 3 times a week, I also walk or do some other cardio regularly. Trevor has a really soothing voice, so you really feel relaxed (great if you are stressed too).

Surfing, viewing and clicking away at new products on Amazon one day, I'm not quite sure what led me to the 'Motivation to Move! Hypnosis Exercise Motivation' CD, but I will say this . . . I'm totally and completely glad I did and I'm sold on this product! No kidding!

I've listened to many a subliminal/hypnosis tape/CD's in my day and for the most part they all turned out to be full of more 'new age-ish' type music than anything else. Perhaps the 'subliminal message' was indeed there but it never seemed to sink in for me . . . that is until I purchased Trevor Scot's 'Motivation to Move! Hypnosis Exercise Motivation' CD.

I'm starting my third week today and it is absolutely amazing how my mindset has totally and completely changed regarding exercising! It wasn't a fact of 'not' wanting to exercise, it was a lack of motivation to initially start and more importantly stick with it once I started. However, it appears I honestly have not experienced that problem once since I started to listen to the 'Motivation to Move! Hypnosis Exercise Motivation' CD.

By the end of the first week of listening to the CD every night before I went to bed and following Trevor's instructions to the 'T', the following week I found myself rising on queue at 5am every morning. No forcing myself to get up, no grumbling when I did or convincing myself I could sneak in another hour of sleep, I truly wanted to get up and exercise!

Each day afterward was as if on queue I'd wakeup at 5am, jump out of bed and literally jump on the exercise equipment in my home and put in a good one to two hour workout before heading out the door to work later that morning.

It has been an amazing two-weeks so far and although Mr. Scot suggests that you listen to this CD for 21 days straight, preferably before you go to bed at night and as needed afterward, I plan to continually listen to the CD every night well past the 21 day suggestion because not only does it help me sleep better, but in the morning I'm raring to go and exercise and that's the exact results I was looking for when I purchased this CD.

In my opinion, for those who are honestly open-minded, accept and realize the truth that `no quick weight loss' diet is ever going to do the trick and sincerely are looking for something that will truly work and get you once and for all off the dreaded yo-yo rollercoaster diet dilemma and on to the only true proven weight loss method that actually works, i.e., exercising, the 'Motivation to Move! Hypnosis Exercise Motivation' CD would be a perfect place to start. I highly recommend following the instructions precisely and I honestly believe you'll experience the same results I am currently experiencing. By this CD and see for yourself!

I thought what I was getting was going to be another visualization cd. But the cd starts with relaxtion and breathing techniques. After that I couldn't say... I was out until he said "and wake up". This amazed me. Today my muscles are relaxed and ready for my workout. Very cool.

I was dubious but this really has helped me get back into exercise. It has helped me form an expectation that I'll get exercise every single day, just as I will brush my teeth. My motivation now seems to be because I think it will make me feel good, and not guilt, which didn't work so well for me before.

I have been listening faithfully now for 21 days and each day, with one exception, I worked out, often a lot longer than I planned, or without planning at all. And, it may be worth mentioning that the one exception was a fairly traumatic day, one in which I had to fire someone and then spent the evening commiserating and downing a bottle of wine.

Despite the wine / mild hangover, I still felt the compulsion to get out there and do something the next day.

An unintentional side effect is that I find I am also eating more healthfully as well as having a LOT less alcohol, again, unintentionally. And like others, I am sleeping better. So, 21 days into it, I'm thinking it has definitely been worth the money. My next challenge is upping the intensity my workouts -- maybe Trevor has something for that as well.

I do agree that the production of the CD isn't at a super high professional level but I'm not sure more slickness would actually improve the effectiveness.

Anyway, this is one I would recommend to anyone who knows they need to get moving but finds they stall on the motivation.

I had never done hypnosis before this and thought I would give it a try. To my delight, it really works! It has changed my way of thinking. I use it every night just as I am going to bed and I am so relaxed and sleep very well after the deep relaxation from the hypnosis. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It will change your life.

I'll preface this review with my expectations of this product...I wasn't expected to be "hypnotized" and I didn't think it would be a magic bullet that, on its own, would cause me to lose weight. I was looking for positive reinforcement to help me with my diet and exercise. I believe in the power of positive thinking and the subconscious and I have a variety of meditative CDs that I listen to on my ipod as I'm falling asleep.

The Good:

-Good music to voice volume / ratio.
-Background music is calming and not obnoxious or overpowering
-I like the self-esteem-related affirmations and imagery - very helpful.
-Speaker has a decent voice (though sometimes he reminds me of Regis Philbin or William Shatner, which makes me chuckle)
-Beginning of relaxation portion is helpful; he goes through each part of the body and helps you relax.

The Bad:
-While the meditation/imagery portion of the recording is helpful, about 50% of the relaxation portion is just plain frustrating. After going head-to-toe, mentioning each body part and telling you to let it relax, he tells you to relax even more. That's fine, but the way he does it is annoying. He says, "Let's go to Level B of relaxation...1, 2, 3,4,5 go!" And then he snaps. Heh? What's so relaxing about someone quickly counting down from 5, and then snapping their fingers and telling you to relax? I've heard of slowly counting down while adding in phrases like "let it go" or "deeper relaxed" between the numbers, but just quickly counting down and snapping is more annoying than relaxing.
-While other meditations have you picture yourself in an elevator, sinking down into relaxation (or similar imagery) while this guy has you picturing a yardstick. Heh? Picture yourself holding a yardstick where the 36 inch mark on the yardstick is stress and the 0 mark is complete relaxation. Okay, fine. "Now take your relaxation 4 inches closer to the 0 mark." Errr...really? "Now take it 4 more inches closer to the zero mark. Ready, set, go!" Personally, this is more frustrating than relaxing.

The bad parts of the meditation annoyed me enough that I used MP3 editing software and took them out of the recording. I bought the weight loss meditation from Beverly Hills Hypnosis at the same time I bought this one, so I added "the good parts" of that meditation to the end of this one and - voila - I have a super-charged meditation without the annoying parts!

I have used the Motivation to Move hypnosis CD for a few weeks now, and am not noticing a change in my behavior. I will admit that I generally fall asleep before it's over, but my understanding is that the message should still get through. I have not been using it at other times of the day (for fear of falling asleep!), so I don't know if it would have a greater effect. At this point I would say it's great if you need to fall asleep, but for me, it doesn't seem to be helping me become more active.
