This book is not broken into "daily" sections. Each page is dedicated to a specific exercise and you enter the dates for that exercise only. The cardio log is on a separate page entirely. This might be better for power-lifters or the occasional weightlifter but not for fitness fanatics who vary their routine or like to see an entire daily workout on one page. Most women seem to prefer a "daily" type of journal entry style workout log. I gave this book to my husband to use who exercises 2-3 times a week and is more interested in his "strength progress".

I see my progress and it makes me work even harder.,

This training diary is perfect. I workout alone so keeping track of my results acts as my competition. Before I workout, I look at my prior achievements. My records show me how I did on my previous workout which forces me to set tougher goals for the present workout. This is how I consistently progress. I believe everyone could benefit from keeping track of their progress and I think the best way to do that is to use The Motivator. Another nice thing about this log is that anyone can use it for their own personal workout routine. It doesn't try and steer you in one direction or another. It is exactly what it says it is, a workout log. I have ran into problems ordering other workout logs because they contain so much other stuff (suggested exercise routines & nutritional information) that I don't need. There are other books for that. I just wanted an easy-to-use, straight forward workout log to track my progress.....and I got it.

The Motivator is a great "motivator".,

I purchased the Motivator based on the recommendation of another exercise nut. I have been using a card provided by my club to write down my workouts. What I like about this tracking device is it forced me to really think about my workout regimen and to carefully plan how I would approach each workout (and record results). I could have done this without this book, but the book helped me with my organization and motivated me to follow my regimen. I think it's a really good book (and cheap).

Exceptional product,

I have been using The Motivator for about a half-year now. As a relatively new customer, I have to say I have never seen anything like it. It's perfect for what I need. I am athletic, yet I do not have time to participate in sports. As a result I exercise in athletic clubs. The Motivator enables me to keep track of my progress throughout my workouts. There are several workout (exercise) log pages in the book so I can view my previous workouts that date months back. This feature hooked me on this book as I continually work harder and push myself to improve with my exercises (both aerobic and strength building). The Motivator helps to keep me focused on my goals over long periods of time. About the size of a diary, The Motivator is very practical with a format that is easy to thumb through. I am glad I stumbled upon this product. It holds great value.

I am really impressed with this workout journal. It fits both my workout routine (lots or weights and machines) and my wife's routine (aerobics and machines), too. I also love how user friendly it is. Too bad the author isn't a U of Conneticut student, though (just kidding).

BEST workout log available,
By Rachel (Miami, FL) - See all my reviews

This is, without a doubt, the best workout log available. The log has all the neccessary sections: 6 months of space to record strength training, cardio/aerobics & nutrition. It even has a section where i record my height, weight and measurements (waist, biceps, etc.). The motivator does exactly what it's titled - it motivates me. It forces me to push myself to my full potential. I love it! I have never had workouts like I am having now and I am getting in shape so dang fast. Trust me, you can't go wrong by using this tool.

This is the first time I have had a book like this. I didn't expect too much from it, but it really gave me a great surprise. I can totally keep track on what I'm capable of and what I need to do to improve my achievements. I have always had a hard time to force myself to the gym, but now it's more about keeping up the good work! Impress myself when I need it by reading my own story, in my own book.

This is without a doubt the worst product I have ever purchased. I could literally have obtained more help buying a pack of 3x5 index cards and writing free form notes to record my workout data.
