4.0 out of 5 stars Great game - horrible documentation
Almost every bad review comes from people who think that you cannot use a joystick or change graphics or sounds options. But the reality is you can. There are tremendous options available. The problem is that the game designers and producers forgot to tell us.

3.0 out of 5 stars Moto Racer 3
While slow to load it is fun to play. We race on-line and after the controls are set up its allot of fun. Not to compete with need for speed underground but on the same level as motocross madness 2.

Almost every bad review comes from people who think that you cannot use a joystick or change graphics or sounds options. But the reality is you can. There are tremendous options available. The problem is that the game designers and producers forgot to tell us.

Once configured properly this is a GREAT motorcycle racing game. The one and only downfall (other than less than stellar sound) is the complete lack of tracks. There are only three tracks for each type of racing. This simply won't do. Now, this may be fixable if they structured the game to allow third parties to develop their own tracks (like Motocross Madness 2).

I still play Motocross Madness 2 online every weekend and there are thousands of others that do as well - and the reason is all the user made tracks available. MR3's rider controls are so, SO much better than MCM2, and racing with the first person view (with handlebars and everything) is a pure joy. But replay value will be severly limited if user made tracks are not possible.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool, could be better, err easier, February 19, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Moto Racer 3 (CD-ROM)
I gave this four stars for the following reasons:
#1. When you wipe out the guy just slides across the ground, like he's tryin to make a new record for sliding the farthest on his chest protector.
#2. It is hard to win a superbike race.
#3. The bikes look like there generic, but the onw you get to race on looks like it is a cross between a ktm 400 sx and a husaberg 400.
#4: hard controls
The reasons I like it:
good graphics
good gameplay
fun

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this game, February 23, 2002

There is no way to change the controls on this game. IF you are going to use a joystick to control it, JUST FORGET IT. The only controls on this game is keyboard. The graphics are good but the controls are what brough this game down to a one star. I wouldn't have rated it that.
