5.0 out of 5 stars Motocross Madness 2 - Finally!
I have been testing Motocross Madness 2 on beta and let me tell you that this may be the number one game of 2000. I have played MCM1 since it's release and never before has a game held my attention like this one. I am a retired racer and have always missed the feel and excitement of dirt bikes and racing Motocross. After I retired the smell of a weedeater running would...

3.0 out of 5 stars Best Motocross Out There, But Still Disapointing
I've played several recent motocross type games for the PC and in my opinion this is the most intriguing; however, don't expect Tony Hawk's Pro Skater gone motocross. The physics are fun (because it's easy to get a lot of air), but the game play gets old. Combos are very hard to pull off, and it seems that you hit more trees than checkpoints in the racing modes. It may be...

I have been testing Motocross Madness 2 on beta and let me tell you that this may be the number one game of 2000. I have played MCM1 since it's release and never before has a game held my attention like this one. I am a retired racer and have always missed the feel and excitement of dirt bikes and racing Motocross. After I retired the smell of a weedeater running would send chills up my spine. But now that there is Motocross Madness these feelings can be vented through the most exciting game ever made. But wait! Now there is Motocross Madness 2! With a totally new look and even more realistic feel. The new Motocross Madness 2 will bring racing on the PC into the 21st century and beyond. You can't go wrong on this one. Plus you can race the computer guys or go online with the big boys. Order now! This is truely an awesome game. It also rocks! Cya in the Zone.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most realistic Motocross game ever!, May 11, 2000
This review is from: Motocross Madness 2 (CD-ROM)
After playing Motocross Madness 1 for years and waiting for Motocross Madness 2, my wait is finally over. I played the game, and I was blown away. This game has the most realistic bike physics ever. The motorcycle handles much better in this version. Rainbow really did their homework on this game. Players can choose between real manufacturers bikes and plenty of sizes. The Stunt Quarries and Enduro are so finely realistic that you feel as if you are there interacting with the environment. The Supercross are 100 % realistic. The National tracks are awesome. I love that fact that players can interact with objets in this game. I higher recommend this game to anyone whether you are a motorcycle rider or just a first time gamer. Motocross Madness 2 is the best! I'd like to thank 3L30 for the chance to test and review this long awaited game.

After what seemed like an eternity to the loyal fans of Motocross Madness 1, the sequal is finally here! And I'm here to tell you, it was worth the wait. Motocross Madness 2 is, in my opinion, game of the year, hands down. Nevermind that I am an avid motocross / supercross fan. You don't even have to like motorcycles to enjoy this game. It's that good. I could go on and on about all the great new features they put into it, but what's the point? Buy this game and see for yourself. With the incredible graphics, the life-like physics, enormous environments, free online multiplayer, sound effects, etc, etc...you absolutely cannot go wrong. I can't wait for the track editor to be completed so I can get started on the next generation of UFO tracks! See ya on the zone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun game - But don't buy this - See why below, July 19, 2002

This review is from: Motocross Madness 2 (CD-ROM)
We run this game on our home network and I joust it out with my nephew or any one else who dare take me on. Great game with easy controls and good graphics. Runs great on both my PIII 1.06 Ghz HP laptop and 1.2 Ghz Celeron Emachines desktop. We have also played on the MSN gaming zone and been smoked by some really good players. We like it!

But don't buy this. Microsoft offers a title called Racing Madness that gives you this game and Midtown Madness 2 in the same box for the same price of this game alone. Search for racing Madness or look up ASIN B00005N9AA. Have fun

Well I have been beta testing this game for a month now and if you have been playing the original Motocross Madness throw it away cause you will NEVER play it again once you play this game. The graphics are insane, the handling of the bike is excellent, and the skins for the bike and riders ROCK! The tracks are way more challenging and the makers really took into account the realism of the whole game. The sounds are so life like that you feel you are really out in the dirt flyin down a dirt road going 95mph, so get your gear on and get on the Zone and letzzz bang some bars boyz!

5.0 out of 5 stars Throttle Jockey Heaven, September 15, 2000

Ever wish you could catch air on a dirt bike like those crazy motocross racers like Stephane Roncada or Jeremy Mcgrath? Well now you can. Motocross Madness 2 straps you to the seat of a wild beast waiting to be unleashed. With wonderfully rendered graphics, intense game play, and mind boggling stunts, this game is as close as you can get to real racing. The controls are simple and straight forward, I personally use the Sidewinder Freestyle Pro game pad. You have a huge number of jerseys and bikes to choose from. The number of tracks that come with the game is enormous. The only thing the game is really lacking is a true career mode where you decisions on what you purchase and tweak really matter. Other wise this game has it all, don't forget multi-player. Microsoft's zone enables you to race opponents world wide. The best dirt bike game on any system to date.

The best video game yet! Can't wait for a third. I'll be first in line! Outstanding graphics. There are races and stunt levels!

The Event Types

Baja: Race over hill and dale going through gates and following the green arrow. Very good practice!

Stunt Quarry: Choose from one of many courses to do one of 16 aerial stunts and collect points to out-trick your opponents. Make sure you land them.

Enduro: Race through many places such as a trailer park or even a jungle! Watch out for cross traffic!

Nationals: Race on technical dirt courses for first place. many elevation changes will make it seem real!

Supercross: Listen to the crowd cheer, ooh and aah as you race on tight courses with bumps that will make you shake. You better be prepared!

Pro-circut: Race for money and take care of repairs, medical bills and earn new bikes and even get sponsors as you work your way to number one!

A must have I give Motocross Madness 2 two thumbs way, way up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun,challenging and addictive, December 31, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Motocross Madness 2 (CD-ROM)
The game has it all- Supercross,Nationals,Baja,Enduro and Stunts. This is the funnest racing game i've ever played. The graphics are great from arena's to huge maps with snow covered mountains and a ski lodge.
The physics of the game are a little unrealistic, but i think it meets realism and arcade half way.
The best part of this game is Multiplayer community. If you go ... you can race online with real competition from beginners to pros. Also a there's hundreds of downloadable Tracks that you can download.
the only bad part of this game is it's addictive.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good 4 star game, September 23, 2001
This review is from: Motocross Madness 2 (CD-ROM)
This is a cool game. You drive around on motorbikes taking huge jumps and getting 50 or 60 feet of air (!). You can't do great tricks, no flips or backflips or 360's or anything like that, unfortunately. As you get huge air, you might see such things as some very low-flying planes, and trains, speeding through the track. I think the tricks is where this game fails mostly. It has twelve bikes, which is good, but only three real life makes, which are Yamaha, KTM, and Honda. The weirdest thing about this game (which I think is probably a cheat) is when you push Alt + Tab + A, and then open the game back up, the floor is a rainbow colour! This game is quite challenging, and takes you a while to beat, however you might get bored of it in a few games, but this is normal with many computer games. Probably the most challenging events are the Nationals and Supercross, and they take a while to beat. I reccomend this to many people and gamers who love racing motorbikes and having huge crashes. If you are looking for something else I reccomend Superbike 2000 made by EA Sports, because that is a fantastic game!

5.0 out of 5 stars No better MX game, PERIOD!, December 17, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Motocross Madness 2 (CD-ROM)
There is no better MX game on the planet, bar none. I have played them all and I continue to come back to this game again and again. The hardware of today has no issues with this game and runs it easily and smoothly. I have run it under XP and Vista with success in both.

It is amazing that for a 7 year old game, nobody has created a better one. And there are hundreds of people who agree with me, as there is a living, growing MCM2 community, see www.mdxracing.com for details on the Motocross Madness 2 Community. But you do need the game, so order it now.
