5.0 out of 5 stars Love this Album June 12, 2011

I'm a bit obsessive when I find a song or album I love. I've been listening to this over and over and over after hearing them on NPR's All Songs Considered. It's a classic. I had no idea it was from 2009, but even in 2011 its awesome.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Pony You'll Ride Alot July 10, 2011
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
Found out about this group from NPR review of Sasquatch Music Festival. I will probably need to replace this cd as I am going to wear it out from playing it so much. Great variety of upbeat and ballad type music, and neat lyrics. Has some Wilco flavors to it, but really impresses on its own. This would appeal to broad age group as I have played if for my 19 and 21 year old nephews, and they loved it, and I am in my early fifties This is Motopony's first CD if I understand right, and I hope there are many more to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite new album of 2011 May 28, 2011
By Tom G.
Format:Audio CD
The media buzz that is building around this Seattle band is definitely justified. This album is a gem from the first track "June" through the closer "Euphoria." Motopony are talented enough - and brave enough - to deliver several musical styles and tempos without making the album feel lost or disjointed. "King of Diamonds" is a feel-good 3 minute folk-pop masterpiece. "Seer" - another standout - is possessed by a multi-layer fire in both the lyrics and the rhythms - ending with a flourish of guitars. Musically, this album may remind some of Postal Service, Fleet Foxes, Iron and Wine, and other alterna-folk from the Pacific Northwest. The spirt though lies in the mysticism of the Doors making Motopony something that is truly unique and worth an extended listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looking forward to the next one January 16, 2013

Don't remember how I discovered this, but I'm so glad I did. Probably heard King of Diamonds at the end of the Hung series on HBO. That's just the start of the pleasures on this album. Mellow, romantic, intimate. Fun and funny. More of Motopony, please.

This is a really awesome album! Each track on this album could be released. The songs are polished, but not overly so. Crazily, I did not learn about this album until late 2010-even though it was released 3 years ago. How does an album like this not spread like a California wild fire to the east coast is beyond me. This is the type of music they should play on the radio. It's Wilco, meets Fleet Foxes, meets the Shins, meets the Postal Service, meets The New Pornographers. If you enjoy those bands, you'll dig it!

5.0 out of 5 stars New Fave Band September 15, 2011
Format:MP3 Music
After catching 'King of D'on Sirius XM, I scoped them out on Grooveshark to hear their other songs. The more I listen, the more I fall in love and find myself humming their songs often. They came to Portland weeks ago, and kicked it up several levels by playing these same songs, at the more alternative rock level. Also amazing! Daniel's voice is absolutely enchanting and the lyrics bring me both goosebumps and tears they are so tender honest(Euphoria, I'm here now, Wait for Me. I'm buying on Insound.com because for $11.99, you also get a signed poster. If all relationships were as honest and real as these songs, the world would be far happier. This band together is perfect synchronicity, and I hope they plan to be around a very long time. I could go on and on - just do something for yourself today-BUY IT!

even thought they have more music talent than me, I thing they could have written a better song with out the use of God's name.
