Ted Nugent is still the man, the rock legend shows his stuff ten fold on this awesome live album. Great set list, the sound is great, the band is tight, Ted's vocals are still perfect, the guitar playing is off the hook and for me this album is on the same level as Double Live Gonzo's. Make way for the king of rock the motor city madman Ted Nugent!

This one is typical live ted, he has a tight band and does most of the singing. Which on some songs he should leave to his backing band. and that's what he wisely is doing on his latest tour! it's his best tour in decades as derek st. holmes the original vocalist on so many classic ted discs is back! and on this one he's back too, but strangely he doesn't sing as many songs as he does live now. Hopefully we get a live one the 2011 tour because it's incredible. ANd even 'need you bad' is sung by the bassist. Ted does the songs he sung on cd though and that's fine. But throughout the years I always thought that the songs he didn't sing on cd he shouldn't sing live. BUt even when he does it's still a great live cd and you get two cd's of ted here in a arena setting. I saw him in a smaller venue, he even played aspen, co! this year. I thought he could have done the filmore again, but I guess that's not going to happen. He at least should hit red rocks someday if even as a opening act. It's the worlds best concert venue probably. ANyways DON"t miss his current tour! and if you like ted you'll love this one live. It's got the hits and more.

This is an outstanding "LIVE" cd by the Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent and his band, along with guest musicians. It contains the same exact songs as the DVD of this "live" concert (Motor City Mahem DVD). It is super outstanding, from the beginning to the end. It was recorded on the 4th of July, 2008, in Ted's hometown of Detroit, before 20,000+ enthusiastic fans!
The basic line-up includes: Ted Nugent on lead vocals, lead guitar Mick Brown on "Thunder Drums" Greg Smith on "Funkthunder" Bass Also, you get guest musicians: Motor City Drummer - Johnny Lee Bloodbrother - Derek St.Holmes on Guitar Ted's Guitar Teacher - Joe Podorsik The song set is as follows: 1.Ted Nugent Intro 2.Star Spangled Banner 3.Motor city Madhouse 4.Wango Tango 5.Free for All 6.Storntropin' 7.Dog eat Dog 8.Need You Bad 9.Weekend Warrior 10.Love Grenade 11.Honky Tonk (with Joe Podorsik) 12.Wang Dang Sweet Poontang 13.Bo Diddly/Lay with Me 14.Baby Please Don't Go 15.Geronimo & Me 16.Jenny Take a Ride (with Johnny "Bee" Bananjek) 17.Soul Man 18.Hey Baby (With Derek St.Holmes) 19.Catch Scrath Fever (With Derek) 20.Stranglehold (with Derek) 21.Great White Buffalo 22.Fred Bear 23.Outro Overall, this is Ted & his band, and guest musicians performing all at their very, very best!!! This is an "awesome", "great", "LIVE" CD concert by Ted Nugent, and I highly recommend it. It is hard-rocking, and fun, and very enjoyable to listen too. Thanks!!!!

Yet Another Great Live Ted Nugent CD,
By
This review is from: Motor City Mayhem: 6,000th Concert (Audio CD)
MOTOR CITY MAYHEM, a live recording of Ted Nugent's 6,000th concert, is yet another great live recording by the Motor City Madman. Perhaps the reason why Nugent has put out so many great live albums even as he ages is because he has avoided drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and even caffeine for his entire life. The fact that he's still vital musically as he enters his 60s while many younger rock stars have fallen on hard times artistically is testament to the benefits of being perpetually clean and sober. The fact that Nugent, along with several other classic rock and country artists (the Outlaws' Hughie Thomasson and Henry Paul, Marshall Tucker's Doug Gray and Chris Hicks, Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd's Johnny Van Zant, Gary Rossington, and Rickey Medlocke, Molly Hatchet's Bobby Ingram and Phil McCormack, Sammy Hagar, etc.), praised the courage of the police in using brute force to rescue two teenaged girls kidnapped in California in 2002 makes this CD an essential purchase for both your ears AND your conscience.
