The graphics are basic distances to turns and road names, but the info is usefull and in a handy size buy a local. It took it with me to ride the triangle area and am glad I had it but could have done with a local map pretty well too.

Don't buy this looking for pretty maps and pictures. This guide is meant to go in your pocket and tell you what you can find on routes around northern thailand. If you're a rider and you're heading that way, I'd give it a thumbs up. Note that the Mae Hong Son Loop is a seperate volume and not in this guide.

Not only read the book, used the book on tours in Thailand. I also meet David and had the great pleasure of receiving his advice. The book and the author contains more information about riding in Thailand than anything else. You ever wanted to ride a motorcycle in Thailand, pass by on your RTW get the book, and do not forget to use GT-Riders webpage, finally try to hook up with David for a beer when you go to Chiang Mai, highly recommended.

Excellent book, best moto tour guide out there. There are many routes described, all with excellent recommendation for roads, sites and restaurants. If you are headed to northern thailand to ride motos get this book. Kudos to the author, only wish there were guides like this for other countries.
