I bought this item and was very impressed with the way it fit my camcorder. I mounted it on my mountain bike with no problem. Everything perfect. Then I take it for a ride on the street. The entire device snapped and popped off my bike. I take a good look at it and found that the manufacturer literally uses "crazy glue" to attach the separate pieces of the device together. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. You will be sorry.

I bought this to mount an HD video camera on my bars. On my road bike there was way too much vibration to use the footage. I'm not sure any mount without some sort of dampening system would work, but I think the vibration is magnified by the height of the stalk on this mount. Don't even bother with this mount for a mountain bike. The stalk is too weak--it broke on the first rough descent. Fortunately I heard the initial crack and saved my camera.

Found the piece to be rather cheap, also did not fit bars, mine are 1 1/4 so it was a no go, ended up purchasing a great one in Sturgis

I give this product NO STARS. I bought this camera bracket for my bicycle and it broke and fell off my bike within the first mile causing damage to my camera. I sent it back for a refund but my camera no longer works. You might think they would test these products. It was meant for a motorcycle. I feel bad for the person that attaches it to his motorcycle and it falls off doing 50 mps on the highway. It will probably fly through someone windshield. The company should TRASH THIS PRODUCT and Amazon should not offer it and longer.

I purchased this mount as a gift for my father, because he likes taking his road bike out on rides and always wanted to record some of the hills or scenery he comes across while riding. BUT for some reason this did not fit his road bike handle bars...two of us tried, removed the rubber pieces, and overall it was a FAIL.

I recently purchased the bike handlebar camcorder mount so I could video tape my trail rides for inclusion on my website: [...]
The mount is very easy to attach to handlebars as long as they aren't very wide. It took two of us to attach it to the handlebars of a recumbent bike I rented to ride the Silver Comet Trail in GA.
Once mounted, it was very easy to attach the camcorder. Since the mount has no vibration dampening capabilities, this works best on paved trails and with camcorders that have built-in vibration/movement dampening.
