I guess you can already assume this book has great reference from it's cover. But I have personally used it for getting inspiration for designing vintage bike helmets and it's definitely a worthy book. I highly recommend this book for any artist or motorcycle enthusiast.

My boyfriend really wanted this book. He knew what to expect and was very happy with it. I thought it was like his other Huge coffee-table style Rin Tanaka books, but it is not quite like that. It is produced by another publishing company and has a paper cover over the main hard cover plain book and is smaller. He loves it and is very happy with it and it is exactly what he wanted. I thought it was pretty cool too. He uses it for inspiration/design/reference.

Rin Tanaka est connu pour être un maniaque de la fringue Vintage, option moto. Cet album propose un histoire du heaume motard tout à fait détaillé. Collectionneur, Tanaka s'est limité aux marques les plus prestigieuses ou historiquement significatives. Exit donc bon nombre de marques européennes. La part belle est faite aux casques américains, en particulier Bell. L'iconographie est magnifique, les commentaires détaillés et efficaces renseignement très bien sur les spécificités des modèles présentés. Tanaka a aussi l'avantage de connaître un nombre important de collectionneur de casques ce qui lui donne accès à de très belles pièces personnalisées reproduites en fin de volume.

C'est un bon ouvrage d'introduction au domaine, ou pour les fétichistes comme moi, une bible, certes imparfaite, mais absolument magnifique.
