Editorial Reviews

From the Inside Flap

There should be a simpler way to find the right motorcycle.

This is it, the Motorcycle Matchmaker.

As a mechanical engineer, machines have always intrigued me. My first motorcycle, a 250cc off-road motorcycle, was found at a yard sale. I rode it for a few weeks around the family farm before concluding that I really liked motorcycling but not the motorcycle. The seat was uncomfortably high, the kick starter aggravated a football injury, and I wanted to ride on the street.

I was determined to select an appropriate motorcycle. No guide was available then, so I resorted to spending months visiting motorcycle dealerships, reading motorcycle magazines, and studying photo want-ads to try to determine which motorcycle best fit me. Now there is a guide, the Motorcycle Matchmaker.
