5.0 out of 5 stars I liked reading this book a lot
I love the tongue-in-cheek humor regarding the relationship between man and motorcycle. And the anecdotes were very interesting and anyone who loves motorcycles should read this book. People, men and women both, love their motorcycles and there is something very free about getting on a motorcycle and riding. The many photos were great to look at. The chapter on...

This review is from: Motorcycle Sex: Or Freud Would Never Understand the Relationship Between Me and My Motorcycle (Paperback)
President Bill Clinton has a copy, so does Jay Leno and Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell. MOTORCYCLE SEX can drive a Freudian therapist crazy. Authored by Dr. Gregory W. Frazier, a motorcyclist equivalent to Indiana Jones, this book was one of the more entertaining one I have read in a long time. Dr. Frazier breathes fresh air into the field of psycholtherapy. He takes an enlightened look at Sigmund Freud and the 10,000,000 to 20,000,000 Americans who are in some form of therapy. The doctor refers to Freudian therapy as "Kentucky Fried Freud" because it is available on every corner in AMerica. Included in MOTORCYCLE SEX are interesting chapters such as "Snakes and Riding Naked," "Orgasmic Roads in AMerica," "Cops. Lawyers, Wrecks and Death," and "The Bikers Love Love Chant." If sex, motorcycles, adventure or analysis are topics that interest you, then MOTORCYCLE SEX is for you. This book is fun.

The chapter on "orgasmic roads in America" was informative as to where to ride and how the author experienced these roads. And I'm still thinking about all the reasons that people find putting on motorcycle leathers sexy. I think it would also be interesting for a woman to write a book about her relationship with her motorcycle. Oh, and also, even before I read this book I'd already figured out in college courses that Freud didn't know anything about women, so it was comforting to know that there are men in the world like Greg Frazier who also know that.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this idiocy, October 5, 2003

This review is from: Motorcycle Sex: Or Freud Would Never Understand the Relationship Between Me and My Motorcycle (Paperback)
Don't waste your time and money on this drivel. Especially when there is so much good motorcycle reading material by real authors: Ted Simon, Helge Pederson, Robert Fulton, Robert Pirsig, David Hough, Melissa Holbrook Pierson. Mr. Greg Frazier is obviously trying to compensate for a lack of something in his pants. He claims to have ridden around the world a number of times, but all of his claims are unproven and without any standard. Do yourself a favor, and avoid his useless ramblings.

I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS THE "Dr." IN Mr. FRAZIER STANDS FOR. HIS BOOK SEEMS TO BE AN UNFINISHED IDEA. SOMETHING THAT CAN FILL TEN PAGES AT MOST IN A BIKE MAGAZINE.
