This Y-Adapter is for phones that use the traditional Motorola charger connection. Some newer phones like the RAZR use a mini-USB connector. Just make sure you know what connector your phone has before ordering this.

I'd bought this "Y" cable with the expectation that I'd be able to charge my RAZR V3 on one of the "Y"'s output connectors, and a Motorola Bluetooth unit on the other - they have dissimilar sockets, requiring separate chargers/connectors (???). This cable appeared to be a purchasable solution.

Unfortunately, both output connectors matched the Bluetooth adapter; neither the input connector nor the output connectors fit my RAZR V3 phone or its charger.

If you have a Razr V3 and this headset you need to buy this version:

It has two different plugs to fit both units.

The much hyped and heralded Motorola "Y" Charger Adapter was intended to solve two problems: Charge your phone and blue tooth ear piece simultaneously. Does it perform as expected? No it does not. The charger appears to be overloaded when connected to both pieces. Unplug one or the other and it seems to operate fine. Now it could just be my phone (Moto V710); however, this is not supposed to make a difference. My advice is that if you have to charge one then the other anyway, what is the point of this piece of useless cable?

...you MUST make sure you connect items correctly. Purchased this for my girlfriend for the holidays along with a Motorola Bluetooth headset. Each cable is marked with "phone" and "accessory". You must connect each item to the correct input or it will not charge. Because you are splitting the charge between two devices, it does take extra time to charge each.

This charger definitely does not work with the Razr. What models does this work with? Amazon doesnt mention them.

The product review indicated this could be used for a Mortorola RZR V3 phone. WRONG!!!! Doesn't fit. waste of money. Bought two-one for each phone.

This thing is very handy and works well with all my motorola products until I upgraded to a Razr which uses a different power cord.

I purchased this for my girl friend when she was running out of power outlets in her appartment. It works great for charging your cell phone and a bluetooth headset at the same time using only one outlet. I already had one myself so I new it would work for her. It is definitey worth having.

I have the V710 and this is the greatest accessory for any phone I have ever had! It works great with the V710 and its functionality speaks for itself, no need for two chargers when you travel or in the car etc. I have three, 1 for the charger I keep at my desk 1 for the car charger and 1 for the briefcase. This may sound like overkill but I have always keept a charger at my desk in the car and 1 in my briefcase so now I am able to charge both devices in all the same place I used to just be able to charge 1.

I recommend getting 1 for every charger that you use otherwise you will find yourself wishing there were a way to plug both in when you don't have it.
