5.0 out of 5 stars Easiest way to use microUSB
The only slight problem I have is the cable is short and stiff, it would be easier if it could twist a bit more.

But this is a fully functional cable including host ID if you have a USB "on the go" product, for geeks, it has all 5 wires, not just 4, and they are fairly large gauge wire for USB, and well shielded. Top quality and an excellent price...

This converter works for charging via USB or Car charger. I was not able to use it for data connection to my PC.

Note: it won't accept USB OTG "A" (host) connectors, it only will pass through the extra pin (4).

I have a new Nokia n810 and one of these makes everything easy - and I've altered mine so it will select "host mode" so I can attach many USB devices like flash drives, cameras, and keyboards.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eventually, You're Gonna Need It, April 17, 2008

If you currently are involved in the Motorola family, you might as well get a couple of these adapters (one for your home charger, one or more for the car/cars) because all phones and accessories will hopefully be using these USB (EMU) ports. That is, if all the various manufactures have basic "Sandbox Skills". We'll see. These adapters kept me from having to buy a new car charging cable as it let me use my old "mini USB" that I use to charge my SLVR, RAZR, and KRAZR to charge my new Motorola H710 headset which uses the new micro USB. Very reasonably priced although as usual, you get a "groin kick" with the shipping.
I have not been able to find these in local stores.
Buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful Cable, December 26, 2007

The micro USB is actually a newer standard, but a cable with a micro end is hard to find. This short cable lets you convert from the hard to find micro connector to the common mini connector.

So, you can buy this and use a mini-USB cable you already have.
If you don't already have a mini-USB cable, then you may as well buy the micro-USB cable instead of the addaptor cable.

I was really happy to find this adaptor. I recently purchase a Blackberry Tour and the charging port is a micro USB port and all my chargers were mini USB. Therefore, this little inexpensive adaptor saved me from having to purchase a new car charger and quite a bit of money. It works great! I would recommend this product to anyone making a conversion from mini USB port to micro USB ports.

Perfect for charging phone from various USB sources. Note: For Vista machine, I had to download and install drivers from Motorola site first to get charging to work. No instructions for this. Just had to try it, & it worked.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hit or mis on quality, November 25, 2010

This review is from: Motorola Adapter Micro USB to Mini USB Skn6252a for RAZR2 V8, V9, V9m, Q9h (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I purchased 4 of these adapters from SF Planet (Amazon) in June of 2010 and both SF planet and the adapters were great! We have many existing blackberry users (and lots of extra wall chargers) with mini usb plugs. Instead of ordering additonal chargers to replace good working ones because of a different connector I decided to try adapters. These were great and matched the "look and feel" of an original adapter I had received in the box with a razr phone once.

In September 2010 I was shopping on Amazon for some additonal adapters and ordered 10 more but this time from A1 accessories on Amazon.
They physically "look" the same but short wire between the ends was way stiffer than the original old moto one I had on hand and the ones I had ordered from SF planet in June.

Well It's now November,
The 10 didn't last long. I sent 8 out to users and kept 2 for myself for use at my desk. All 10 ordered from A1 have failed. One never worked at all and was missing the teather string. Sadly I wound up just ordering new chargers anyway to ship to the remote users.

If I need any additonal adapters I think I will head over and order from SF planet.

This product works to charge my Droid either by having a USB Mini-USB hooked up to my computer's USB port, or plugged into the wall.

If you have a house full of mini USB chargers and are now starting to buy micro-USB devices like the Blackberry Storm, this is the perfect (and cheap) way to keep using what you've already got. Works great, price is dirt cheap, and it beats paying Verizon $40 for new car and travel chargers.

1.0 out of 5 stars defective unit, August 5, 2011

The unit is defective. If you bend the adaptor slightly at the end, it stops working. I only used it about 6 times to charge my phone.
