Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The Motorola MOTOPURE H12 Bluetooth headset excels in both precision sound and pure design. The first headset to feature CrystalTalk, the new MOTOPURE H12 cancels background noise, enhances your voice and channels pure, clear audio directly into your ear. The headset's version of CrystalTalk technology--previously only found in select Motorola handsets--is always on to enhance the audio experience without any sort of user intervention. The MOTOPURE H12 uses dual microphones to separate the user's voice from background and wind noise, enhancing the user's voice and channeling pure, clear, natural sounding audio to the caller.

The included desk charger.
The MOTOPURE H12 also assures extended wear comfort thanks to its TrueComfort ear bud design. The design is driven by Motorola's extensive ergonomic measurement study of the human ear, with research that included two years of digital assessments that spanned age, sex and race.

Features

  • Using TrueComfort design, the single ear cushion, combined with a smaller-than-standard eight millimeter external speaker, delivers an "outstanding" fit, according to more than 90 percent of people tested.
  • The flexible lightweight ear hook securely holds the headset in place to prevent it from flapping or falling. The headset also can be worn on either ear, and even comfortably with eyewear.
  • A mix of materials that projects a petite silhouette, including perforated alloy bezel and diamond-cut metal, high gloss accents and a soft touch side housing.
  • The headset has a talk time of up to 5.5 hours--with consistent, constant noise reduction--and a wireless range of up to 10 meters.

Specifications

  • Bluetooth version: 2.0+EDR
  • Talk time: up to 5.5 hours

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Headset, August 4, 2008
By
Ry "Ryan Miller" (Scottsdale, Arizona) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Motorola H12 Bluetooth Headset (Silver) [Bulk Packaging] (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This is the first headset I've ever owned and I think it's great. It wasa bit expensive where I bought it (an AT&T store) at $120.00 but, It's definitely top of the line. It's fits in my ear very snugly with 3 different size/shaped earbuds (I have very small ear canals) and it weighs nearly nothing. In fact, after I put it on and get used to it for a few minutes, I pretty much forget that I'm even wearing it. It has all the great features: noise cancellation, voice dialing (both name and digit), long talk and standby times (5 hours talk/200 hours standby), and it fully charges in only 20 minutes or so. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is: I was out of town 2 months ago, was outside walking back to my hotel, and the day was quite windy. I made a call back home and-though I could hear her just fine-she could hardly hear me and I had to keep repeating everything over and over again untill I finally got inside the hotel and away from the wind. Then everything was fine. This is my one and only gripe. All in all, it's an awsome product. Just two pieces of advice: 1-though it will work with any bluetooth phone, it is a Motorola headset and-for whatever reason-links faster and works better with a Motorola phone. (my Mother also has an H12, but a Samsung cell phone. So, certain features, like voice dial, won't work) 2-If you do decide to get one, buy it from Amazon. A new one only runs around $65-$70, whereas it's $120 to $130 at any retail store-at least that I've seen. Still, no regrets. I'm glad I bought it. (Just wish I saw it on Amazon first)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic OEM Bluetooth Headset, May 24, 2009

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Motorola H12 Bluetooth Headset (Silver) [Bulk Packaging] (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I purchased this OEM Motorola H12 Headset recently and I'm glad I did.

It was far cheaper then the retail packaging, and it works fantastic. I have tested it while walking outside, which is something my last motorola headset would not do very well. I walk my dog a lot and needed something hands free that would sound good outside, and this one is it. Everyone tells me that they can't tell I'm outside, or if a big wind gust comes up, they say its not very noisy for them.

Setup:
It synced up with my Blackberry Storm in about 15 seconds. Very easy to setup. Works great with the Blackberry Storm voice recognition software. I simply press the button, and tell it to call "John Smith Mobile" and I'm good to go.

Comfort:
As far as comfort, it is very lightweight, and fights fairly well in my ear. I would not call it extremely comfortable, but i'd give it high marks none the less. The clip that goes around the ear to hold it in place is a very nice design, comfortable. My only fear is that it is plastic and looks like it would break easily, but it clips on and I already saw you can buy a 3 pack of replacements for under $10

Sound Quality:
It is a little tin can sounding. Kind of hollow or not a large range of audio quality, but not really much of a surprise, as most wireless headsets sound like this. Volume is great, has up and down, and for me, I don't have to turn it up very much to hear everything I want, even while walking outside in the wind.

Overall, I say go for it. I did a lot of reasurch and this one is by far the best bang for your money. Hope this review was helpful.

4.0 out of 5 stars The headset's great...., September 9, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Motorola H12 Bluetooth Headset (Silver) [Bulk Packaging] (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This product seems to be some kind of resale. It's a new headset; however, the difference in price seems to be that it does not come in the original packaging or with all the original components. The headset is great and it got here when it should have. The first one didn't work so I had to exchange it, but Amazon overnighted the replacement so I had it almost immediately. I really like the headset however, I do not have the desk charging unit or all the ear bud replacements. Spend $10 more (which is still a great deal on this headset) and get the one that comes in the box.
