First of all, I'd like to say I'm frustrated--I paid full price for mine. Hence, when I saw the price, I had to do a triple take to make sure I wasn't looking at a generic version.

If you're getting a car charger, make sure to get a Motorola OEM version. I talked to a couple people at Nextel and they said the generic ones are dangerous. Quoting the Cincinnati phone tech, "I've seen hundred's and hundreds of phones fried from the generic chargers. The fuses are screwy and the wrong voltage hits your phones. I even saw a lady stick her phone between the seats of her Caddy using a generic one and it caught the seats on fire and melted the phone."

Another tidbit I learned from the tech. Only charge your battery in the car when it's down to 1 bar. Try not to make a habit of throwing it on the charger every second you're in the car. The specs on the Lithium Ion batteries from Motorola are about 500 recharges. Then the charge it holds starts declining. When you charge your phone powered off, it uses 1 recharge that night. When you charge it powered on, it scrolls through the charge cycles and shortens the life of your battery.

Best of all, Nextel warranties this charger. Take it in if you do something stupid and break it--they'll give you another one no questions asked.

Lastly, the cigarette lighter OEM is a 'rapid charger' using DC current. It will charge your phone from completely dead to full charge in 45 minutes if you have the phone turned off. Just thought you'd like to know.

Got this one because the shop gave me a cheap no-name brand car charger that doesn't fit the phone correctly. Don't be ripped by imitations...buy Motorola!

This is a great price for a good charger. It is a standard charger, fitting in the lighter of standard cars. It charges phone's battery quickly, showing a green light while charging.

My only warning (though not a flaw with the charger itself) is that the two prongs are much more susceptible to damage than the o-shaped adapter connector used by other manufacturers (e.g. Nokia). You have to pay attention when plugging it in, and tugging sharply on the cord could damage the adapter and/or the phone.

I loved this charger. I would say it charged in 30minutes to an hour, and that was with the phone on!! Get it!

In sales, I spend much of my time in the car. Whenever I'm in the car, and not using the phone, it's plugged in and charging. I've lost the need to charge the phone at home. It's a must have and a great convenience.

Got this charger for my E815. It is the OEM moto charger.

It looks nice, works great and is a good buy.

This is a very good accessory, and the the OEM version is just as reasonably priced as any aftermarket brands so stick with the Motorola version, and this has the fancy little blue light with the Motorola insignia in it that lights up when you use it.

What can I say? It's a car charger. It just works. The blue cap glows when it's plugged in, which is kind of cool. I am using it with a Motorola E810 phone.

Faster than the charger that comes with the cellphone. I have the Motorola E815 and without to much talking, here there are the pros and cons of the product.

Pros:

- The phone got fully charge, and i mean, until the outside little battery icon stoped flashing, in only 35 minutes, even faster than the standard charger the phone brought.

- I also charged my Motorola HS820 headset in only 20 minutes.

- Nice blue light that shows you when the charger is connect it to the source.

- It brings a gadget that let you attached the cord of the charger without getting out, letting you store it comfortably in your car.

Cons:

- The Cord, besides it is very resisting, it's very short, Making you put the phone sometimes in places you don't want.

It is a great charger from Motorola, and you get more than you expect, more than all, in charging time.

This is a really impressive little car charger, and is suprisingly affordable for an Motorola OEM product. I was able to charge my new Motorola E815 from "0" (low battery) to "6" (near/full charge) in just 35 minutes, which is even faster than the charger that comes with the phone! It's also built solid, and has a really slick looking Motorola logo on top that glows blue when the charger is plugged in.

For this price, there is no good reason not to spend an extra three or four dollars to get the name brand charger for your Motorola.
