It's on the front porch waiting for UPS to take it back.

The range of the volume control is very small if you have a loud talker it is garbled through the earpiece or the speaker.

These phones use bluetooth only to connect to one another or a cell phone, but cannot be used with a bluetooth headset.

Well, I chose this product because of the name "Motorola" . . . I figured a solid company would offer a solid product . . . not so much.

I've only recently dropped my home LAN line in favor a cell only household. That being the case, this unit was suppose to still work w/ bluetooth enabled devices. So, I figured I'd give it a shot . . . I purchased it and used it for a week before returning it. The primary reason I returned it was poor sound quality (SQ). Many of the folks I talked w/ (via this unit) said that I sounded like I was muffled; that being said, they sounded find on my end . . . but I apparently sounded muffled to "many". So, I returned it and I continue my quest to find a phone to fill this need in my 3 story town house . . . it gets VERY old leaving the cell phone on one floor and being on another when it rings . . . "HOLY SMOKES" . . . I'm too old to run up 2 or 3 flights of stairs & I NEVER make it before the phone stops ringing . . .Grrrrr 😡

So, if ANYONE has a lead on a solid product that would meet my need (the need of having a hand set on each of the 3 floors) and great reception w/ my iPhone . . .please let me know . . . . because I've been through several options thus far and have been equally disappointed w/ all . . .

I realize that Motorola is a great company (& I have other Motorola products in the house) . . .I just couldn't recommend this one based upon SQ inferiority . . .

Regards,

Shek5150

This is a useful product to say the least. I've gone a few years without a land line phone, using smart cell phones instead. I recently discovered how inexpensively one could get service comparable to a land line. That would be VoIP. So I got that service and initially used 'software' phones on my computer to make and receive calls. But since I am not on my computer all the time, I needed something I could take out into the garden when I'm out there. I have my cell phone's blue tooth connection paired to the base unit of the Motorola DECT phone, so I leave my cell phone near the Motorola base, and I take out one of the handsets to the garden, and I can answer calls made either to my cell phone or to my VoIP phone number. I can also call out over my cell phone using this Motorola phone. Also, I can use it as an intercom, talking from one handset to another person on one of the other handsets.

The quality of the voice connection is every bit as good as any land line phone, or any cell phone, but not as good as my computer headphones with a microphone. That does not detract from the usefulness of this Motorola phone. I'd reccommend this phone set to anyone who has both a cell phone and a land line.

We really like this brand so far. It seemed a little awkward to setup at first (programming it - we were trying to wing it without instructions).

The phones work well, and have a pretty good range. The cell link is useful to me. The one star is related to the fact, that the top volume is just a little less than I would like. Most of the cordless phones have somewhat of a low max volume, so it's not just this phone.

Phone book or directory is not shared with other hand sets, so each hand set has to be programed.
Also , Blue tooth did not work as expected. Hand sets picked up call sometimes but not all.

This is a great product. I've been wanting to get rid of paying land-line monthly fees, but being a stay-at-home mom, I want easy access to the phone upstairs & downstaris & don't want to have to carry my cell phone around the house with me. We just got this a couple of weeks ago & I love it so much I feel confident about getting rid of our land line! I had to sync my cell phone to the base once, when I first unpacked it & set it up. I don't have to ever sync it again, which is awesome (I think some other models require you to re-sync whenever you get home.) Now, when I get home, I toss my cell phone on the counter next to the base & it's ready to go. I just set up my cell charging cable next to the base so it's so easy. The call quality of routing my cell through these handsets is great & I don't notice any difference. I'm so happy to finally get rid of my land line's monthly charge! :)

OK for the price.

Pros: lightweight, attractive design, long battery life, relatively inexpensive

Cons: Difficult to control / Difficult to program / The bluetooth link to cell phone is horrendous (perhaps this is an Apple or Verizon linkage issue, but those are both huge products / utilities so this should synch with them, at least).
