The Motorola L600 Series is a DECT 6.0 cordless phone with up to 2 handsets. It features 3-line backlit display, handset speakerphone, call waiting and caller ID. The L600 Series features DECT 6.0 technology, which provides interference free communication, increased clarity, and enhanced security.
The L600 Series requires only one phone jack and has a range of up to 160 feet indoors and 980 feet outdoors. Other features include 9 speed dial memory, 30 call caller ID, selectable ringtones, adjustable ringer, and earpiece volume control. It provides you with 12 hours of talktime with 180 hours of standby, and is Eco Mode and ENERGY STAR compliant.
LCD Display
The 4-line LCD display features an amber backlight for easy reading, day or night. It displays caller information including up to 30 previous caller ID entries, phone book entries, and more.
WiFi-Friendly DECT 6.0 Technology
The L600 Series is wireless network friendly and ENERGY STAR compliant, so it won't interfere with your other wireless devices or home network. DECT 6.0 transmission gives you secure calls with virtually no interference. So you can add handsets with confidence that your wireless devices will continue to work optimally.
Built-In 30-Entry Phonebook
Store up to 30 names and numbers in the built-in phonebook. The quick access buttons let you find friends and family and dial them quickly.
Expandable to 5 Handsets
The Motorola L600 Series phone includes 1 handset with the L601, and 2 handsets with the L602. You can add handsets to make it expandable up to a total of 5 handsets, so you'll always have one near to take important calls no matter where you are in the house. It all functions from a single PSTN line, so you can add handsets to rooms that don't have a phone line jack.

I replaced an older 5Ghz phone with this one... there's no comparison. This phone has crystal clear sound, great range, speaker, mute... the whole works, all at a good price.I don't know how hard it is to expand, because now I wish I had more handsets!

Simple & Modern: Best Cordless Phone Design,

It seems every brand of cordless phones all offer mostly the same essential features. Each brand has its basic, no-frills entry model on up to fancier, complicated digital answering system equipped phones. For me, I stopped caring about all the fancy features since I only want to make and receive calls and started caring more about the design. Since cordless phones are unlikely to change much in the next decade, you might as well get something that is well designed if you're going to be using it for 5-10 years.For that reason, I was so relieved when I finally found this newer series of Motorola phones. The design is what I like most; it does not look as dated as other basic cordless phones out there. In fact, this phone's design is what I expected cordless phones to look like these days before I realized most cordless phones out there have changed little in appearance in the past few years. The phone functionality is great with no complaints. Calls are easy to place, voice quality is clear, and the speakerphone works well. This phone must be relatively new, because trying to find additional handsets for expandability is currently challenging. eBay seems to be the only place I have found extra handsets. However, I am confident they will become easier to find in the future as even the manufacture's website doesn't yet list any information about this series. In any case, the more modern look & design than the previous series from Motorola is worth waiting for when additional handsets do become easier to find.

I now wish I had more of these phones to replace the ones in our home. They are so clear to talk on and a great size. Our home phones are quite old and I was so glad to replace them with these great phones. It's hard to beat Motorola and Amazon's great service.
