This review is from: Motorola DROID X Mirror Screen Protector (Motorola MB810) (Electronics)
The screen protector gave me pause before I put it on--it has a serious chromatic rainbow effect when viewed at anything but straight on--and I mean anything off straight. Also, it is just hard to see through when you hold it to the light. On the plus (only plus so far) is it is thick. Once on, the mirror effect is so pronounced, and the darkness so bad, you have to crank the screen brightness up like crazy. In addition to killing battery life just to see, it destroys the beautiful colors the DX screen has. The "mirror" effect is full time--not just when it is off. I know what I look like--I want to be able to see the screen! The chromatic rainbow effect mentioned earlier comes from the screen backlight itself--crank up screen brightness to see through the screen protector, make the chromatic effect worse. Lose-lose.
I also am having all sorts of screen sensitivity issues with this protector, getting random or missed touches. It's off mine, I'm going back with the stock ones sold by Verizon. $15 for a 3-pack from Verizon works out the same cost wise, and works MUCH better with the phone.

The mirror really works and the touch sensitivity didn't appear to change. That's about it for the good stuff. The bad: My great Droid-X screen that can be seen really well in the sunlight, barely can be seen with this protector on. The other minus are the FINGERPRINTS! OMG, and you can hardly clean them off - very irritating. Not worth the $$, even if it were free.

These are the worst. Every other 1 star and 2 star reviews out there are correct. There is a nasty chromatic distortion. Makes things harder to see and read. The screen will be protected because with this on you are not going to use it at all....

After the screen is applied... when you look at your screen through the mirror there is a rainbow type coloring... did not expect for my screen to be a holographic after i applied this. Kind of ruined the experience of the droid x and it's amazing display.

The product description said that even though this had a mirror-like surface, "screen contents appear as normal once the screen is activated." This is actually totally untrue. Any and all light sources create a glare, and it also totally distorts the colors on your screen, not to mention that it greatly darkens the screen. You have to boost the brightness and run your battery down faster. I'll be tossing this in the trash and ordering something else.

I had some trouble installing this screen protector on mine Droid X, but it could be me the problem. I got it right with couple bubbles, but OK. I was very impressed with the mirror look a like even thought I could see the air bubbles on the screen. The touch screen worked great. It lost some of the clear visibility inside a room but I could live with that. However, I lost total visibility when outside in the sun. Over all, it was OK, but in my case, visibility at all time it is important. For that reason, I'm going back to clear screen protector.

These covers go on nicely, but they have a greenish tinge to them that makes everything on the screen look sickly. I know that's because of the mirror effect. However, it made me feel queasy. So, I took off the one and jettisoned the other.
Not good if you have a weak stomacn.

The product arrived in good condition. The only small issue I have is that after following all of the instructions for installation, there is part of the left bottom corner that doesn't stick to the phone screen. I think it might be slightly defective or missing whatever material makes it stick in the corner. But overall a much better value than paying $$$$ at the phone store for the same product.
