The difference between this extended battery and the standard battery is very noticeable. There were times when I would, literally, leave my Moto Q on my desk at work -- using it to make a phone call home or send a text or two -- and the battery would be dead by 5pm.

I ordered/received the extended battery, fully charged it, and left it unplugged for a day and half before it nearly drained. During that time I used it for multiple phone calls and text messages -- awesome, awesome difference.

I highly recommended getting the extended battery if you use the Moto Q on a regular basis.

Note: If you're using the Sprint version of the Moto Q that is a dark gray, then this battery with cover will NOT match your phone case.
The included battery cover is silver which looks tacky when your phone isn't also silver.

Also if you're having trouble with battery life on your Q have you installed software? I was having decent battery life with the standard battery then I installed bunch of software and my phone would literally go from 2 or 3 bars of charge to shutting itself off *dead* in several hours WHEN I HADN'T EVEN USED IT!!! I backup my data, did a hard reset which removed all the software and like magic battery life was much better again... Of course one might ask what good it is to have a smart phone if you can't install software... I haven't yet tried installing each piece of software seperately to see if one was the culprit. Something else I was told was that killing processes using the task manager would help preserve battery life -- since a nice little "function" of Windows Mobile is that it never terminates programs you were using...it just goes to another window. I would check processes and text message would be running, IE running, contacts, Windows Media and more etc.... all churning away on the poor little battery.

Great buy if you use your Q like I do, I watch movies, play NES games, listen to music, oh yeah, make call, send text messages, etc. Good investment...
