Dependable, inexpensive, versatile, albeit short-lived,

I'll be purchasing my 3rd Motorola H-series headset in 3 years. I first bought this model because it was relatively inexpensive and compatible with the finicky Palm Treo 700. I've since upgraded to other cell phones and the Motorola H works well with them, too. Most helpful is the fact that the H700 recharges using a standard mini-USB connection -- not a proprietary interface. Sound quality and connection range are good. The one drawback is that the unit lasts only about a year before the battery dies/connection problems arise. But for such a low-priced bluetooth headset, I can live with that.

I purchased an h700 after receiving a citation for using my cell phone while driving (who doesn't?). I am completely satisfied with this product and use it all the time, not just while driving. I've previously owned a jawbone and two or more jabras; I found them to be much pricier than the h700 and very, very frustrating to operate. The controls on the h700 are simple -- one button on the side to answer or originate a call, and swing the boom in or out to turn it off or on. The sound quality is good on both ends of the conversation. I'm amazed by the battery life, though there's no warning when it's getting near the end; it sort of just quits. True, it does not come with a car charger, but given its long battery life, low charge time, and the fact that I already have a phone and GPS vying for my car's cigarette lighter, I can live with that. I really like the over-the-ear fit as opposed to an in-the-ear bud, but that's my preference; buds are very uncomfortable for me to wear and manage to pop out anyway. I was concerned that it might be too loose and fall off, but it stays with me without a fuss. I've got it paired with a Casio 'Boulder' phone that features voice-activated dialing and together they provide a good experience and a terrific alternative to another $200 ticket.Clarification -- in addition to the 'talk' button and boom-controlled on/off switch are two volume buttons, one on the top for UP and one on the bottom for DOWN. Logically oriented and logically out-of-the-way.

This is the best bluetooth I have used. I have tried several others over the years, but have come back to the Motorola. And my favorite Motorola bluetooth is the h700. It is so easy to use. It synchronizes with the cell phone very easily, and I have used the Motorola h700 on my Samsung as well as my Nokia and my Motorola before my Samsung. The h700 is so easy to use. You simply swing the boom down to turn it on and when your done, swing the boom up and stow it away. No buttons to turn on and off, so no forgetting to turn it off. It has one button to take the call or originate the call, and the same button turns the call back off. It has a button on the other side that turns the volume up or down and that is it. It has great battery life. I charge it about every one or two weeks, depending on how much I have used it. I have never lost a call because of the battery dying, and I have had this one for about two years. I have given them to my children as they go off to college. I have been extremely happy with the h700 bluetooth. I also always get them in the frustration free packaging.

After having really come to like my H715, I got one of these for my wife.First disappointment... Unlike the 715, there's no "chime" to let you know you've paired with the phone (making it a guessing game), and the worst thing is that it didn't come with a car charger?! Hello... This is (primarily) a car accessory, and it needs to be charged (at least) daily. What good does it do to ship it with only an AC adapter? If it weren't for the fact that it comes with the least useful charger for a car device, I would have given this four stars.

I've gotten this item for other members of my family and like it a lot. It is small and has good volume. The one I purchased here was defective, but Amazon made it easy to return and replace the item. The new one works great. Thank You, Amazon.com

I'd purchased this three years ago and loved it! So I've purchased it again! Its small, unobtrusive - hides in my hair - and Super easy to use. Newer phones recognise it immediately...before the directions even say it will! It has a compact, portable charger to take anywhere, or if you have a Motorola car charger you can even use that.

I got the frustration free package and it arrived timely. I paired it with a Blackberry and it worked OOTB. Tested it and the other party could hear me well.Unfortunately, it appears that I might have received a defective unit. After a while it somehow keeps disconnecting, and reconnecting(once every 30 or 60 seconds) intermittently. My phone was right next to the bluetooth and it still did that. After 30 minute or so the problem went away, and after a while it keeps disconnecting & reconnecting again. I thought the mic might be too sensitive, but again, it disconnects & reconnects even after I left the phone & bluetooth next to each other on the office desk and it still did that. I later paired it with another phone(Samsung) and this behavior was exactly the same for both Blackberry & Samsung so I'm pretty sure it's the bluetooth headset's problem. Very disappointed.

Just bought a H700 for way less this cost and free shipping, so I got a couple. I Think This product is way over priced.
