Not all h700s are the same. Some say they have a range for 33 feet, others 30 feet. I'm not sure why, but I own two. One I purchased at a retail Cingular store for about $80. It says it's good for 33 feet; the sound quality, both receiving and listening, is very good and I would give it, overall, four stars. But I saw an h700 here for $40 -- same model pictured above -- and bought it as a backup. It's very disappointing and I plan to return it. The sound quality is poor and the battery dies in an hour. I suspect it's defective. It matters to me not whether it has a range of 30 to 33 feet -- on both models, once you are about 15 feet from the cell phone, there's static. But I suspect that while the models are the same, the one that's good for 33 feet may be newer and improved. So keep that in mind in checking these out.

After years of using wired headsets, I decided to upgrade to a Bluetooth compatible phone. Synching the phone and headset were a breeze. Also, the headset has amazing range. You can talk up to 24 feet away from the phone before it gets too much static. The total range is over 36 feet before losing connection. It also works great while driving. The best feature is the ability to flip the mic open to turn it on and flip the mic close to turn it off. Keep the mic closed if you are not using the headset. It will drain your battery within a day.

I bought this item again after my first one died. The first one lasted a couple of years, and I used it every day as I have a long commute and do a lot of support via my cell phone.

I've been pleased with the performance and reliability of this ear set. I like the fact that I can close the boom to conserve battery, my first ear piece (prior to the H700's) was "always on".

I also like the fact that this unit charges with a mini-usb which allows me to have one charger for my Blackberry and the headset. I usualy end up charging the ear piece about once a week, so battery life is sufficient as well.

Good bluetooth however when i got it you could tell it wasnt new it was refurnish!!!!

The quality was poor. I was able to use it for three weeks before it seperated and came apart. It was poorly put together. I would not purchase again.

The Motorola H700 Review is great! I like that it is small and fits into my pocket/purse without taking up a ton of space. Also, when you close the boom, it turns off the blue tooth--which saves the battery AND doesn't allow the headset to call people when it's bumped in your pocket. The reception is good. I charge it every night, so I've not tested out the length of the battery life. I also carry my phone when I'm on the headset, so can't comment on the distance.

I'm using it with a Sony Ericsson phone. The reception is so bad in a car, I only use it when I have to. And lately I've opted just use the phone sans headset, because of the quality. On more than one occasion, the person I'm calling says "Are you in a cave?".

About 3 months after using this headset, the top volume button fell off after I dropped it on the ground.

Works fine if there's very little outside noise, like in my quiet home.

I purchased the H700 to replace a Plantronics unit. It is small, more comfotable and lighter. The sound in and out is good, and the price was definitley right!

It's great for all uses sound is good and has a pretty loud speaker but the Mick picks up to much background noise beside that it's a good bang for the buck if you don't buy it in a retail store
