5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!, January 15, 2005

This handsfree device works exactly how I hoped. It's easy to connect to my phone, has plenty of power to hear the conversation running down the highway and the microphone picks my voice up easily. Being able to access my phonebook via voice commands also makes placing calls a breeze. I also like the fact that I can take it with me wherever I go. I highly recommend this for anyone who has a Bluetooth phone and is looking for a safe, handsfree solution for their car...or anywhere else.

The sound is still pretty tinny. A better speaker would help. And folks on the other end complain of static and background noise. I drive a very quiet car, so if background noise is a problem in my car, it'll be a big problem in anything noisier or with the windows open.

Still, it pairs with my V710 instantly and is very easy to use. At speeds below highway speed, it works better as there is less noise to deal with. I just wish someone would make one of these things with a little quality. It'd be worth the extra bucks.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, but Could Use Improvements, May 3, 2005

I have been using my Bluetooth Speaker for about 6 months now, and I am very happy with the quality of the calls that I have been able to make. It works even if my telephone is in the trunk, but the range is limited such that when I leave my car and enter my office, it disconnects and shuts down automatically (if you go out of range, it does not stay on) and does not wear down the battery if I forget to turn it off.

But that leads to the issue of the battery. While battery life is fine, my unit stays in my car most all of the time. For that reason, it would actually be far more convenient if this little device plugged directly into the cigarette lighter (perhaps with battery backup) and never needed recharging. It does not seem to charge while in use (plus being visor mounted, this would be inconvenient and difficult), and my car will not charge when the car is off. So I have to remember to bring the unit in on weekends to recharge it, otherwise it will eventually die on me.
