5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!
This handsfree device works exactly how I hoped. It's easy to connect to my phone, has plenty of power to hear the conversation running down the highway and the microphone picks my voice up easily. Being able to access my phonebook via voice commands also makes placing calls a breeze. I also like the fact that I can take it with me wherever I go. I highly recommend...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not what it could be.
The sound is still pretty tinny. A better speaker would help. And folks on the other end complain of static and background noise. I drive a very quiet car, so if background noise is a problem in my car, it'll be a big problem in anything noisier or with the windows open.

Still, it pairs with my V710 instantly and is very easy to use. At speeds below highway...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, but Could Use Improvements, May 3, 2005
By
This review is from: Motorola HF800 Bluetooth Portable Speaker (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have been using my Bluetooth Speaker for about 6 months now, and I am very happy with the quality of the calls that I have been able to make. It works even if my telephone is in the trunk, but the range is limited such that when I leave my car and enter my office, it disconnects and shuts down automatically (if you go out of range, it does not stay on) and does not wear down the battery if I forget to turn it off.

But that leads to the issue of the battery. While battery life is fine, my unit stays in my car most all of the time. For that reason, it would actually be far more convenient if this little device plugged directly into the cigarette lighter (perhaps with battery backup) and never needed recharging. It does not seem to charge while in use (plus being visor mounted, this would be inconvenient and difficult), and my car will not charge when the car is off. So I have to remember to bring the unit in on weekends to recharge it, otherwise it will eventually die on me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good speakerphone, January 10, 2005
This review is from: Motorola HF800 Bluetooth Portable Speaker (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I'm pretty pleased with this product

I use it with my Treo 650, and I've found it to be of good quality

The volume is much louder than most built in speaker phones ---- and the bluetooth connection is usually established quickly

Much better than the other Moto Bluetooth products, in its connection speeds and volume

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent!, March 16, 2006
This is an excellent BT speaker!

I'll list the pros -

1. price is great

2. the size - this thing is tiny, for the amount of power it punches

3. volume --- the volume is VERY high and very clear

4. battery is great - lasts forever

5. outgoing sound quality is solid

this is probably the best speaker phone of all the BT models -- it works excellently with my Treo 650

I'm not huge on speakerphones, but so far, this is the best one I have ever found

enjoy and happy buying!

2.0 out of 5 stars Convenience and good idea, but won't last long., November 2, 2004
This review is from: Motorola HF800 Bluetooth Portable Speaker (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The first one I bought last for 7 days. I thought I was just bad luck, then made an exchange to a new one. The second one died in 9 days. They both have the same problem. When it dies, you can't turn it on, you can't even charge it. I returned the second one, and will wait for a little longer to try next batch from manufacturer.

I use this when driving, when walking, and when on the exercise bike at the gym. It works like a charm and is pretty light on the ear. I've enjoyed it immensely and have found that it's well worth the money. (I had used other headsets with wires and wasn't happy with any of them; this is the first headset that I've found to be truly convenient.)
