I thought I was saving some money purchasing this particular hands free set up. I was wrong. The ear bud doesn't stay in your ear, the clip isn't adjustable. I spent more time trying to hear who I was talking to & have them hear me than when I just use the phone. I recommend you go to your local cell phone store & purchase the Jabra which comes with 3 ear bud sizes for both left & right ears which are shaped to fit in your ear without falling out & the speaker is on the ear bud. It's worth the extra money!!

Here's how to tell whether this headset is right for you. Look at your ear, right in front of your earhole. Is there a little triangular flap of cartilage there? This flap is called a tragus, and while most people have one, it varies in size.
If your tragus is prominent enough that you can press it back and use it to cover your earhole, this bud-style headset will most likely stay comfortably in your ear: you'll be able to wedge it in deep enough to hear the call clearly, it wil be reasonably comfortable, and it won't fall out. Otherwise, don't get this... get a headband model. Incoming sound has been good for me. Callers sometimes can't hear me - the mike is on the cord so it's not automatically held close to your mouth. I fixed this by rotating the earbud so the cord is higher up, not coming straight out the bottom, and this seems to have worked - no more complaints. And the price is certainly right. I deduct one star because it lacks an answer/end button on the cord.

Good clarity and normal "clean" ears,

I own this headset and use it regularly with my V60 phone while I'm driving. The clip I have does move up and down the cord easily and I'm able to adjust it just fine. The ear piece fits well in my ear and its exceptionally clear. (Better than actually holding the phone). People on the other end hear me well, despite the fact the mic dangles away from my lips. The button on the mic lets me start a call, from the received calls menu, very useful when I'm driving.

Good Product for people with normal ears,

I've owned the product for two months and have had no problem with it. The bud stays in my ear, and the clip, although not moveable, clips easily to the shirt/blouse collar for perfect positioning for hands free communication. I've never had a complaint from anyone on the other end of the conversation, and can actually hear better with this device than with the "hands-on" method. I recommend it - for people with normal size ears....

I am very happy with this hands free device, though I've only used it for two days. For one, the price was right. The earpiece fits my ear fine and is comfortable enough; I talked continuously for 20 minutes and didn't even notice it. It's the same size as an average in-the-ear walkman-style earpiece. I have better clarity than using my cell phone directly. Also my cell phone gives me a headache and I don't seem to get that when I use this. (Hopefully I'll be cutting my chances of a tumor, as well!)

This hands-free could've been a contender! However it suffers from garbled sound from the ear-peice. For the price right now, maybe you can deal - just don't put the sound up high or it's buzz city!

Can't recommend this,

The is the headset that came with my V600. I dislike it.
My old Nokia headset was much better. The microphone is of very poor quality and doesn't pick up my voice very well at all. This is especially noticable in the car.

It looks great and the price is good but if you cannot hear the call then what is the point?

I haven't tried any other hands-free set. I however have found this one to suit my purpose rather well. I've used it around the house (while walking around, doing dishes), or sitting at my desk. I've taken it outside while walking (not a very windy day) and numerous times driving.Only one person has complained that I was a little too quiet. Now, the only thing that I think I have had trouble with is that if I decide to remove the hands-free device when I answer a call with it, I usually have to hang up and start a new call. This however is probably my Motoral T720i. But great so far. I'm impressed. Good price.

I recently upgraded my phone from a Nokia to the new Motorola V400. Unfortunately my Nokia hands-free didn't work with it, even though it was the same jack. This one does work with my phone and I've been told that I sound very clear to the people I call. However the first thing I noticed is that the person on the other end sounds like they're talking from inside a box. My Nokia hands-free was only $19.99 and it sounded perfectly clear both ways. This one muffles the voices I hear. They're still understandable, but it definitely does NOT sound good.As for how the earbud fits in my ear, I think it's fine. It feels comfortable, doesn't fall out, and doesn't hurt either. It's a standard earbud size, so if you have problems with other earbud products you'll have the same problem here. But if your other earbud earphones fit just fine for you, go ahead and try this one. The price is cheap, just remember you usually get what you pay for. I give this product 3 stars because, for the price, it isn't bad. By the way, in reference to the review that suggested using Jabra instead. I've used Jabra and wouldn't go back to it. The sound quality is fine, but the I didn't find the ear comfort to be much better than a standard earbud. The big problem I had with them was the ear gel kept getting separated from the main unit. I would often lose the thing because it would fall off so easily when not in use. |
