4.0 out of 5 stars Motorola H12
After using several other Motorola and Jabra headsets, I was intrigued by the H12 after seeing it and then checking out reviews on it.

I was immediately pleased by the clean sophisticated looks. It charged rather quickly, and seemed to hold a charge very well even when using it for long periods. I also liked the different charging stands that came with it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Poor fit and volume
This headset has a few nice features. It's simple, installs easily and has a spiffy little carrier/charger.

Sadly, as previously stated by others it does not fit well into the ear canal. Neither of the 2 size "buds" seems anatomically appropriate. It barely stays in your ear and falls out easily which is very annoying.

Volume, especially when driving, cannot be raised enough. My hearing is unimpaired and I still cannot raise the volume enough when ambient sound is present.

Frankly I would not recommend this product because of these 2 issues, especially fit.

After using several other Motorola and Jabra headsets, I was intrigued by the H12 after seeing it and then checking out reviews on it.

I was immediately pleased by the clean sophisticated looks. It charged rather quickly, and seemed to hold a charge very well even when using it for long periods. I also liked the different charging stands that came with it. Very sophisticated as well. The headset and charger base have magnets on the back that automatically stick them together with a tiny dot of an LED that shows the charge status. There is a covered case version and a desktop version. Both look extremely sharp.

The sound is very clean and crisp on the receiving end with adequate volume range, though I've noticed that when there is an excessive amount of road and/or radio noise that the outgoing transmission has some slight static or garble (from the feedback I've received); especially when both parties are using bluetooth headsets. Not any worse and certainly better than a lot of others, but I was hoping it would be substantially better due to the extra anti-noise technology that this is supposed to have.

The buttons are fairly easy to operate and the commands worked seemlessly without any problems. Occasionaly, it was a bit tricky at first when trying to hit both the up and down volume buttons at the same time for the mute function, but that was very minor. All of the other functions are very simple. I like the fact that there is a simple & crisp feeling on-off switch at the top of the unit which makes accidental power-on's a thing of the past if you decide to place it in your pocket.

There are several different size rubber in-ear pieces to fit various sized ears. I could have used one size larger than the largest included pad, but made due with it. My only other complaint was that the clear plastic around-the-ear hook piece did not work well with my ear size, so I took it off completely and just use the H12 with the inner piece holding it in place.

All around, I like the clean sharp looks, the crisp call sound and easy-to-use call functions and buttons. It's fairly light, very comfortable, and the charge lasts a long time.

I'd definitely give it a high recommendation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Motorola H12 customer, April 17, 2009
This review is from: Motorola MOTOPURE H12 Bluetooth Headset (Electronics)
This headset has a classy charging base, which can be connected to a micro-usb cable or the standard transformer, is light and comfortable to wear and has plenty of volume. Most importantly for me, it connects quickly to incoming calls and people on the other end can always hear me clearly. My previous headset averaged almost 10 seconds to connect to an incoming call. This one connects within 2 seconds of pressing the connect button.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works well but can get noisy, January 17, 2009

Item works great as long as you are in a quite room. Could use some noise cancellation because it picks up everything and the person you are talking to will get a lot of background noise.
Purchased to use while driving and as long as the radio is off the conversation is fine.

I bought 6 of these for Gifts. My gift giving decision came as a result of using a friends phone to take call and not experiencing any distortion either on my end or the callers end...I was sold!. I had another Bluetooth that was horrible, it went unused for 2 years till I deposited it in the trash compactor. I bought one of these for myself then gifted everyone I talk to on a regular basis with one to. My insanity has cleared up tremdously.

Audio quality is excellent. Cheap plastic ear loop (one only) is disappointing. More cushioning and sizing options would be preferred.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bluetooth Ever, December 8, 2010

This is the best bluetooth I have ever used. I have owned an oldschool jabra, Jawbone noise reducer, but this is by far the best one I have owned. It is small and light and has great sound. You put it on and forget its there. My first one got wet and stopped working so I bought a new one and it works great as well. Highly recommended.

Device works great as long as you in an area with no background noise. Could use some noise cancellation control because it will pick up everything. I would like a device that no one knows I am using it; all my friends will ask if I am on my hands-free because they can hear the noise in the background.
